We decided to check out this festival on a drive from Edmonton to St. Paul. It took us off our usual route to get to St. Paul so that made the drive a bit more interesting too.
The Andrew Garlic Festival is held around the July 1st weekend each year. Their website is here to find out specific information: http://www.andrewagsociety.com/
The whole festival sounds like a lot of fun. We were on a schedule so we couldn't spend the day here but we may do that another year. The weather also wasn't great this year so that kind of put a damper on the outdoor activities.
There is a pancake breakfast, famers market, perogy dinner, parade, car show, hay rides, beer gardens, entertainment, supper and dance, and much more.
We only had time to stop and check out the Farmers Market portion of the festival. We picked up a few items and some big Russian Garlic.
This looks to be a great family festival about 1 hour outside of Edmonton. If you are a garlic lover or just want to have some fun check it out! read more
