JJ Tree Services gave me a quote, and I decided to go with them because they were one of the cheapest options with the best reviews. They scheduled me out for 2 weeks. I took the day off to monitor the work because the tree was right over my house so a high risk of falling on my house. They showed up late (2 pm when they said 8 am), so I was already frustrated that I took a whole day off when I did not need to. Then they cut down part of 2 other trees to make the larger tree easier (they asked and I agreed). Then the one guy climbed the tree, said it was too dead to cut while in the tree, and came down out of the tree. They explained they would have to come back with a lift. They told me they would be back on Monday, and I was okay with that. I HAVE NOT HEARD FROM THEM SINCE. So, they caused me to panic because the tree is much more dead than we thought and then they just decided never to answer me again. The tree is directly above the bedroom I sleep in. I have called multiple times a day for 4 days now. Their voicemail is full (assuming they are ghosting others now too). I've texted as well and no one will answer. JJ Tree Services is not worth your time, especially if it is a tree you are already stressed about.

He was…read moreso convincing that I said ok. what a nightmare, they had no idea about landscaping, there workers were nagging and asking me for ice water and cigarettes. they didn't even have a wheelbarrow, they were putting the mulch in plastic bags and pooling it from my driveway . finally, we lend them our wheelbarrow to use, it was ridiculous. They promised that they were doing the edging, they didn't have an edger, so the guy war using shovels to edge, and they quit after couple of them. they didn't even have a fork to spread the mulch. And they got the wrong mulch. they wanted $3K cash, I paid them so I can get rid of them. May be they are good at cutting trees but, please don't hire them for landscaping. They don't know what they are doing at all.
