The work involved fixing another contractors work: -fireplace drywall had to be sanded and re painting -calked around outside the new shower installed -fixed base boards they were popping out from wall -Installed doorhandles on double closet doors -replace light high above open bsmt stairwell -other minor patches around the home 100% I would definatly recommend everyone in niagara region to use Curt & Ernie Home improvement/handyman services. These guys they are legit hard working and deducated to their customers. Curt cld me the next to ensure everything was ok. After water damage was caused in our kitchen this past week, we had another contractor come look at…read morewhat was just paid for a few months prior... The fascia and aluminum capping isn't on protectively, and actually collecting water instead of shedding it... there is a gap about 2 inch's wide between fascia and wood behind it causing water to get in, causing damage to walls, and to roof/shingles and rotting the wood holding the fascia, and soffit... The flashing on the flat roof wasn't installed with any length so when wind comes it blows water up behind the wall, and enters into our home causing more damage. The siding was installed with nails that were too small (was told they should have been an inch longer), so they never were secured into the wood sheathing behind, so wind is pulling every single piece of siding off the house.... The nails were all able to be pulled out by hand... Manufacturer stated it needed to be fully re-sided after just being completed... All but 1 window installed failed weather proof testing, causing wind and water to get into behind the wall/frame, can cause long term rotting issues. They weren't sealed and capped properly, or squared causing issues with opening and shutting, and installation method caused voided warranty from Northstar (manufacturer of windows). The bay window also wasn't sealed from the exterior, so we have had water get in from exterior when it rains and there is wind, which makes sense because in the fall we had bees and insects entering from that area after they were paid to seal and weatherproof the area. I won't keep updating further after this on this site, just take this experience and make decisions for yourselves

I paid in full for a tile job which kept getting put off. Kept saying they would be here and would…read morenever show. Didn't even have the curtousy to let us know they weren't coming. I eventually had to get another contractor and asked FAC for my money back. This was in May 2024 and I haven't heard a word now in November.
