Every time I come in here, I learn a little bit about small repair hacks for old homes. It's a small local business with all the messiness that entails, but keep in mind when you're going into a store like this you're supporting the local community. Their gun selection is... Mediocre at best, but the ammo selection is the best in town. I always swing by to grab reactive targets before the wife and I go shooting. It's just a small town hardware store, and it is a little expensive, but the screw is way less than the local town Ace Hardware (don't get me wrong, they also have things they do best. But the other Ace is very expensive).

If the item does not meet the rules above, the customer must take the item to an authorized center for repair. Unless the item is under warranty, repairs are at the customer's expense. There were other issues with the thrower my friend had purchased, shifting was very difficult for her, maneuvering was very difficult. All of which was found AFTER unboxing. She did not want the item. As of now it seems she is stuck with it, even after having taken to a repair facility. So a warning to all! Do not purchase the above listed items from Menard's!!!!

They say the average time a customer spends in the store is 44 min. That's a long time and it's probably due to the store layout. I tried reaching out to someone at Menards corporate to discuss this issue. They provide an email address, so I emailed them and asked if I could speak with someone on the phone. They replied that they do NOT deal with customers over the phone - only via email. What? What kind of customer service is that? How do people without computers or email communicate with Menards corporate? Silly, really. It's sad that Menards is the only large home improvement warehouse-type store in Marinette. Honestly, if you have the time, go to Home Depot in Green Bay. The three stars is for the employees - they rock! Becki, Kayla, Kathy and Mikayla are especially awesome.

The employee was rude and never stopped to answer the question. At the check out I asked when this product would be back in stock. The same rude employee was asked by the clerk for status. Now he responded that there might be some in the warehouse. I asked if the investigation would take long, his response "IT WILL TAKE AS LONG AS IT TAKES". I left the store and vowed to never return. The good news is I found all the feed I was buying at Tractor Supply elsewhere at a substantial savings. So thank you rude employee for helping me find a better way.

Having owned 3 older homes in 40 years, I've had to deal with contractors on large and small…read moreprojects. After too many frustrating experiences, I am so glad that a friend recommended Van's when I needed replacement windows in 2009, and I was so happy with that experience I hired them again in 2013 for siding. Here's the difference between Van's and pretty much everybody else I've dealt with: they provide customized professional work for less than what the amateurish one-size-fits-all companies charge. Not allowed to name competitors, but in windows and siding you know the companies I mean: big names, lots of advertising and phony discounts (that is, jack the price up so they can give you 20% off) mostly job the work out to fly-by-night or untrained subcontractors. Van's pays great attention to detail and like I said, customizes the job. Maybe that customization isn't so important on a 10-year-old house, but is sure is on a 60-year-old one. Every one of my windows was a slightly different size, and needed finesse to make them look like originals. And the siding job required similar skill. I can't recommend them highly enough - and I"ll never use anybody else!

The worst workmanship ever in all the years of having work done. They put a hole in our interior…read morewall with a sawzall. The employees who put our window put dents in our aluminum siding which was impossible to find to match since the aluminum siding was at least 20 years old. They actually thought it was ok until I showed the salesman.It wasn't being picky it was unbelievable I then actually watched them as they worked and inspected their work. I had them do things over because of their sloppiness .I guess dents in new trim are acceptable. After they left, I found more damage(more dents, bent screen) The sloppiest workmanship ever. I would definitely steer clear if I was having work done or if building a new home. The salesman was ok but it must have been frustrating for him. It definitely was a nightmare. Please take my advice, there are a lot of businesses out there who provide good workmanship.

Then there was the time I "needed" a vest made from some of Dad's deerskins. ...and then there was the purse, the belt, the cute gifts, and the shoe repair. Every time I got: a warm smile and conversation, quality work, creative solutions, timely work, and exactly the price that was discussed. A very expensive Harley belt wore out and the leather cracked, so they made me a new belt with the Harley hardware. 2. The pull strap on a pair of boots kept tearing and they replaced it. They are creative and they do quality work! If I need something done with leather, they are my first call. TOP NOTCH!
