They are both buyers and they have wide interests and wonderful taste. There have some very old silver pieces in a beautiful case and sterling collector spoons in a holder on the wall. Their glassware includes brilliant cut glass, depression glass and EAPG, adorning the windows on shelves in multiple colors. They often have light fixtures and they sometimes have Quezel or Steuben light shades. They also have old tools, post cards, stereocards, fruit shipping labels and tree ornaments, plus other things - most in practically perfect shape. The owners let you browse as you wish, but they will give you full attention if you have a question. I learn something every year. Our small family enjoys visiting these friendly owners on our annaul visit. If you are looking for real antiques this small store is a real step up from the antique malls south of town, or in my mind, from anyplace else on the peninsula.

The boxes and wrapping materials were old, but they have been discarded and it is much nicer in there now. The items for sale in the front section of the mall are so varied - everything from antique through the Depression, MCM, Contemporary and everything in between. It is a mall with show cases up front and booths around the back. If you take your time to look in all those cases you will find many treasures. Glassware, pottery, sports cards and collectibles, primitives, jewelry, coins, antique-modern toys, figurines, Halloween and Christmas collectibles, advertising signs and smalls, Green Bay Packers collectibles and so much more. There is just so much in there for the true collector! I see some new dealers are in there this year and are bringing in great stuff. This is a great place to check out and fun to find all those hidden treasures in all price ranges.

You can look at everything, but none of it is for sale. If you want to see something in a locked case, you have to get the older woman there to open it up for you. I bought something from a case and I kind of felt like I was bothering the woman in the shop. Not the most friendly antique shop out of the options in Door County.

Aside from having to buy the food, everything we needed to make a 'home-cooked meal' for supper was provided. It's very, very quiet here and we actually never saw the hotel owners or other guests during our entire stay. You just check yourself in and out. My only complaint was the moths that were hiding out in our room! You definitely need a car to get around to the other parts of Door County, but it was conveniently located for us.
