I'm sure it depends on the therapist, but the one we had was worthless. A waste of time and money. Find a more experienced therapist!

If you have Quartz insurance - change as soon as humanly possible…read more I've never written a review before being removed from services yet here I am as a guardian to someone that directly receives Journey therapy services and yes I sit in some sessions. I talk to the therapist. I literally sat through intake, provided contact information of former practitioners, providers and medical care teams. More than 90 days later, no one has been contacted. I was just told the patient has to have a signed release, on file. We signed that at intake which we sat through for 90minutes, I provided copies of the documents and have full contact information with fax numbers. Apparently, I did it all to make papers look pretty. Direct questions of the counselor go unanswered. I'm content with just leaving and going somewhere that will include 1. Accountability 2. Redirection 3. Reenforcements. 4. DBT that handles once the pt has made poor choices and actions leading to damaging consequences. POA is on file. I've asked if GAL is required in order to talk to me as equal as the patient and Idk if it's the counselors bias or lack of foresight yet I was told no. Now, I'm seeking to switch after a year and get GAL to avoid pitfalls. Comparatively, I learned while reviewing places to go that Center for Open Doors openly discusses what their action plan is when the 4 things I mentioned above occur at some point during their care.

Review of Madison Psychiatric Associates…read more My time at Madison Psychiatric Associates was disappointing, to say the least. I was initially passed over for the position, only to be hired three weeks later when the original hire abruptly left. From day one, I caught on quickly to the role and was consistently praised by my supervisor for my ability to handle tasks efficiently and stay on top of the workload. I maintained the "okay to call" file daily while my coworkers spent the majority of their time on personal activities -- including making memes, scrolling social media, and browsing for pets -- even during busy office hours. Despite my strong performance, I was abruptly terminated two hours into a shift without any clear explanation, even after asking multiple times. The lack of professionalism in that moment -- particularly from Trina -- was incredibly disappointing. Taylor, the office manager is also extremely rude. He came to me with something that he knew nothing about. An issue with something I did not do. When I tried to correct him on the info he came to me with, so that he was correct about it and he didn't sound like a complete idiot talking about something HE thought he knew, he had a disgusting attitude towards me and tried to argue with me. The office culture is unprofessional, with frequent gossip about patients, providers, and staff happening openly, even in front of patients. The work ethic of the front desk team (with the exception of the billing department and Kasey, the intake coordinator, who were respectful and supportive) was virtually nonexistent. Leadership seemed either unaware or unconcerned about the dysfunction. There are also serious concerns about the facility itself, including what appeared to be mold issues throughout the building. In short, the workplace lacks structure, professionalism, and respect -- not only toward employees but potentially toward patients as well. I wouldn't recommend working here to anyone seeking a professional and ethical healthcare environment. I'm a licensed esthetician of 6 years, I've been in healthcare for the last 5 years working at chiropractic offices to hospice and nursing homes and this is by far the most unprofessional environment I've ever encountered

I was not sent a text message reminder for my sons appointment, and then billed $80.00 for a no show. The billing department then spoke unfavorably of my to my husband, as did the therapist. These people attempted to cause drama in my marriage and my son never actually received therapy with them. They do not have a protocol for speaking to both parents simultaneously...such as with a zoom call with both parents prior to the appointment. They are super aggressive with their billing. Again, if you value your mental health, go elsewhere.
