Please just hire them for your bar and bat mitzvahs. We just did and they rocked the house. The teens never stopped dancing. The adults danced too and everyone made comments that the DJs were the best part of the night. The MC/hyper was fantastic. The Photo Booth and assistant were a huge hit. Yes, I paid for the whole entire package, but I didn't have to pay for other sources of entertainment because everyone was so busy dancing. These guys are Israeli, they know the bar and bar mitzvah thing- you just hand them the mic and they do their thing well. They are so organized. I had to fill out a multi page document outlining the events of the night and it was so thorough that it helped me plan my duties and the event planner at the location was thrilled to have a copy of the DJ's nightly schedule too. I had my wedding at the Aquarium of the Pacific (AOP) in Long Beach, CA. We had a great experience with Roger. The aquarium looked amazing with all that fabulous lighting! My parents didn't understand the vision we had with the aquarium but seeing the gobo and the lighting that Roger brought in.... they were amazed with the transformation. He worked with us and getting a list of music for grand entrance songs, processional songs, etc... He gave us resources to help us pick music for ones we were unsure about. We needed up having my god daughter play the violin for us (the pre-processional/processional songs) during the wedding ceremony but he worked with her the day off to get the timing and sound right for the ceremony. Ok brides to be, here's a little gem that might save you some time. You have found your DJ/MC right here! We had Roger as our DJ for our small 50 ppl wedding reception. He came highly recommended by the venue, so we took the plunge. My biggest worry was how small the party size was and we had an eclectic mix of guests we knew we didn't want super over the top entertainer that might be overwhelming for our party. When it came to Roger none of this mattered. Roger kept the night flowing smoothly and the music matched to the pace of the groups energy and even though we had previously talked about "just in case the energy gets dull" plans, he never had to resort to them because no one stopped dancing! I had a great experience! Roger was beyond amazing. I was from out of town so meeting with him in person before the wedding was a hard to do but he conferenced with me over the phone multiple times. I knew up-front that Roger was an amazing DJ having worked high profile events, but I was a bit uncertain because we had an Indian ceremony with unfamiliar rituals, cues, and playlist. Roger was very interested in learning about the different parts of the wedding, from Baraat through to the Reception, and was very easy to work with. He is very flexible to the needs of the bride and groom and goes through great detail to make sure the celebration is fun and lively. He was on site for over 12 hours, which exceeded what he needed to do, but this goes to show that he goes above and beyond to do what it takes. He provided additional equipment that would be necessary to support our wishes without adding to the cost of the wedding. In started to rain just two hours before our outdoor wedding but Roger was able to set-up tents and make sure the rain would not affect the Baraat celebration that would go-on in the rain outside. This was unexpected, and unplanned for, but he was well prepared. Roger provided more than just music, he provided the lighting and gobos to the reception that made it look amazing, and he was our MC! Pronouncing foreign Indian names is not an easy task, but Roger took the time to make sure he knew who is who, and how to say everyone's name. I was really impressed with this. In short, working with Roger was a lot of fun and he brought the party to the reception. SUPER EASY TO WORK WITH!!!!!! When I first met with Roger with my wedding planner, he was so professional and right off the bat was already helping me paint the picture of the direction of music we wanted for our wedding. Roger did the music for our ceremony and reception of our wedding at FantaSea Yachts. It was so easy communicating with him and he always responded back quickly with any answers to my questions. When I first met him we went over the timeline of the wedding and he had a ton of ideas on how to make everything flow smoother. Which was SO helpful! Roger was recommended to us by our wedding planner. She had nothing but great things to say about him. We met with him and knew right away that he was the one. Do not underestimate the importance of having a good DJ. Angel City DJs made our reception so memorable! The dance floor was packed all night! We got so many compliments from all of our guests, young, old, men, women, everybody thought the DJ did a great job keeping the whole crowd on the dance floor. Roger, our DJ, did such an amazing job at our wedding. He was responsible for music/dj/mc/lighting at our wedding. He was extremely responsive during the entire planning process. The uplighting at our event was spectacular; he matched the color of the existing uplighting at our venue perfectly. He allowed us to submit our own design and made it into our gobo. The gobo came out exactly how we designed it! We met with him twice before our wedding. One was to sign our contract; the other one was to go over the sequence of music we wanted played during the ceremony. He was very helpful with advice on what would work well for all the different moods we needed to create for the different parts of the wedding. He very experienced and extremely organized. All the music was managed on his Mac and he was able to get any kind of music we requested (even Chinese music) from iTunes. His transitions from one song to the next was flawless and on cue. Before our wedding, he confirmed with us to make sure he had the correct version of the song that we wanted for the ceremony. For cocktail and reception music, we only gave him a general theme/ genre of music we liked, and during the reception my husband and I were both commenting to each other that the selection of music he played was exactly the songs we enjoy (and some were pretty uncommon pieces that we love). My husband even thought that I had sent him a list of songs to play for our reception (I swear I didn't!).
