I had a pedicure at Angel Nails on the afternoon of July 8, 2025. I began to experience foot pain around my big toe the morning of July 9 which increased through the day. Because the pain was so intense I went to Christie Clinic and saw Dr Okyne who ordered tests. By Saturday July 12 my whole foot was swollen and red and hot so I went to Christie Convenient Care where I saw Dr Johnston who told me I had a serious infection called Cellulitis. He prescribed a ten day antibiotic (Augmentin). I am convinced that the source of this infection is the pedicure at Angel Nails in the Meijer store on North Prospect. Also, they did a terrible mani/pedi on my husband. The tech cut his toe nails so short that they bled when he took his walk the morning after. read more

I 've been here before but this recent visit, I was disappointed. I came on a Sunday for just a pedi and mani. It was only 3 customers there. I was seated for my pedi and I felt like the process was rushed. When I asked about the pricing, she talked to me in a rude way like I was asking too many questions. She barely put on the polish right to my satisfaction. When it was time to for my mani, I ended up getting the full set because regular mani was $45 and gel was $50. The guy that did my hands seemed to be rushing as well and cut my skin using the file board He did't ask if I wanted my actual nails cut and it was too late before I could say anything. If I could leave a zero I would. They had me sitting for 30 minutes and then someone showed up to a call in early and they ask me if I can wait an hour. I politely said no thanks. They did my nails once before which came out thick and uneven. I'm going to Sephora and I'll be doing my own nails from now on. I'm tired of these trifling Champaign area nail salons that over charge for bad customer service and sub par over priced nails. I'm disgusted because then they run you down for a tip afterwards while talking crap in their native language. Baby bye. read more

I am OBSESSED WITH my nails! I forgot to grab my nail tech's name (it was a guy tho), but he did such a fabulous job! I showed him my inspirational picture, in which, he took his time and was very thorough in bringing this design to life! I have been receiving so many compliments on my nails :))) While I didn't have to wait too long even though I didn't have an appointment, I would say the place looked booked (considering it was a weekday morning), so I would recommend making an appointment. They charge transaction fees and a custom full acrylic nail art/design set was $75, which I thought was well worth it for the service I received! read more

I went in to get a refill on my acrylics they charged me $45 the price to have acrylics put on not the price for a refill charged my mom $35 just to get nails painted and the lady who did my acrylics was rude and on the phone the whole time. when I asked why it was $45 for refill when online prices say otherwise she said it hadn't been updated I will never go there again. read more

I came here for a pedicure last week and it was a good experience! This week I brought my boyfriend and we both got our nails done. I got a fill and he got a gel manicure. Both our manicurists were very talented. I would say my only gripe is that when my hands got dusty, I didn't get to wash them or a wet towel, which I would have preferred, just a dry paper towel. Also, the nails that were replaced feel a bit flimsier than those I received from another salon, and I think an investment in nicer tips could be worth it. However, for the price, which was very fair, I would recommend. read more

I WAS a long time customer of over 14 years, but that will stop as a month ago. I went in to get my nails filled on a thurseday, no one was there with four techs doing nothing. I asked Van if I could get a fill and she said come back 45 minutes later, I said how about another lady that wasnt doing any thing to see if she would do my nails, and she wouldnt even look up at me and told Van she only wanted to do pedicures today. I was shocked for that was the lady I gave a very good tip at christmas time. I was very shocked and very disappointed with them not wanting to wait on me. I cant go back ever again, for the lack of respect they have shown me other times too, and I continued to let it slide. They do very good work, but they talk in their own language too much, and it makes you feel like they are making fun of you. read more

On the recommendation of a family member after a horrible nail job at another establishment, I checked this place out today. I was greeted by a friendly woman and she had time for a walk in. I needed a full set after the bad job done by Top Nail and she did a great job! No bubbles, bumpy weirdness, nails feel strong like they'll last at least 2 weeks. Clients come in requesting their favorite nail tech, my relative told me to ask for her as well (her name is Mi, pronounced Me), she happened to be on vacation today but I was very happy with who did my nails! She also gave my hands and arms the hot towel and massage treatment, it felt great. I'll definitely be coming back here...a little strange being in a grocery store but a great shop overall. read more

Overall a VERY nice place - however just be aware they tend to rush through everything as they get closer to closing time. There is NO "social distancing" practiced when they are busy and doesn't appear to be any Covid-aware cleaning of equipment between manicure clients. The staff is VERY nice and welcoming. The place is "old-ish and dirty-ish" feeling but still okay and very convenient. Always call for hours as they change sometimes. I would still go there as the quality of their work is very good. read more

My wife and i went there late Saturday afternoon and had a pedicure. The two Asian girls that did our nails were very efficient and friendly. I am old and my toenails are hard and curled. I thought the girl working on them would have a problem but she knew exactly how to trim them and my nails looked great afterwards. She was very concerned that she was not hurting me and asked often. I've been going to Angel Nails for pedicures for a long time now. Up until last Friday they've always done a fabulous job. I've always been very pleased. Last Friday the nail tech who did my pedicure didn't do anything for the dry skin on my feet. He only painted my nails. I called first thing this morning to see about this being rectified. Of course, they said, come on in. Upon arriving a young man pointed out a chair, no pleasantries, no bottle of water, nothing. He ran very warm water in the tub and proceeded to slough the dead skin off my feet. I guess I expected a little more after he seen how bad my feet looked. I didn't need the polish redone, but a bottle of water, how's your day, foot rub, you know, a pedicure. I originally wasn't going to post, I was giving them the opportunity to correct the situation. But, after today I was made to feel like I shouldn't have complained and just went on with my feet looking horrible. I'm sad, I thought we had a good relationship and I was worth the effort of being a valued customer. So...on to find a new nail salon. Any suggestions? read more

This is my 2nd visit to this nail shop, a treat for my feet that I have just started. I happened to be inside Meijer & thought I'd give it a try the first time...and they did not disappoint! Best hour of relaxation I've had in forever, and my legs & feet & toes felt and looked amazing. I knew I'd be back...the staff is so talented, detail-oriented, thorough, easy to talk to, and super nice...and their prices are great.
