I really loved working with Dr. Agrios. I had an autoimmune illness and was in horrible condition. I was really not living - sleeping 14+ hours a day, laying in bed all day, too tired to even eat. Where to start! Wow, Dr. Agrios has really helped me over the last several years. I've had some circulation issues in my lower legs, especially my right foot, which caused me a lot of pain, cramping and other issues. When I saw Dr. Agrios she had some blood work and other tests ordered, and after reviewing the tests and also using her knowledge, she put me on a variety of supplements and also had me change my diet. Well, the leg cramps are very rare now, and also my nose bleeds stopped! Who knew? It's all related. I came to Dr. Agrios after several years of dealing with increasingly problematic eczema & digestive health issues (I also have Hashimoto's and a benign pituitary tumor). I had been to a couple of really reputable dermatologists in Los Angeles, and after waiting months for an appointment, I was prescribed steroid creams and told things like not to take hot showers. For a number of years prior to consulting with Dr. Angela Agrios, I had experienced abdominal discomfort. My family doctor diagnosed the condition as Irritable Bowel Syndrome (IBS) and prescribed medication which I did not take. Instead, I consulted with Dr Angela Agrios in the summer of 2008. Dr Agrios spent a full hour talking with me about my medical history and nutritional habits. She had a suspicion that the abdominal pain was caused by a food allergy and sent me to a lab for blood tests. The blood tests confirmed that a number of foods could be causing the abdominal pain, especially gluten. I was diagnosed with Rheumatoid Arthritis 21 years ago. Over the course of those 21 years, I have NEVER had a doctor take as in-depth of a look into my medical history as Dr. Agrios - and I have been to other Naturopathic doctors as well as traditional rheumatologists.
