My mother was transferred to Chestnut Ridge as a REHAB patient after being hospitalized for a…read moreresolved but severe urinary track infection. Within days, my mother was again suffering from a UTI. The Nurse Practitioner, Jackie, refused to allow a culture or to prescribe an antibiotic. My mom lost lucidity and was taken away by EMS to the hospital (now taking antibiotics). While EMS was taking my mom away Jackie and her staff questioned why we were doing this and asked us "what do you really think is going to happen?" My siblings and I all know my mom will eventually pass, but we prefer to pass with dignity and in as little pain as possible. The lack of care my mom received was appalling. We feel the staff ignored the orders for PT (mom never received any) and blamed the situation on them never having received her hospital discharge orders. If so, why did CR not follow up with the hospital??? It is a terrible, rundown, filthy place offering subpar care. The hospital was appalled to see the condition my mom returned in. She was with Chestnut Ridge for less than a week.

The staff are truly angels on Earth who treat you and your loved ones with the utmost love, care, dignity and respect. Immaculate, peaceful, serene....
