Stopped in to get some dessert on a Friday afternoon. I got banana pudding, a red velvet cupcake and a Dubai chocolate cupcake. The server was polite. The shop is cute and clean. It's small inside with limited seating. More of a carryout place. The banana pudding was outstanding, the Dubai chocolate cupcake was good, the red velvet cupcake was okay. I'm from out of town and went on Yelp. Was hoping to get a carrot cake done for a proposal. Unfortunately they were not able to squeeze another order in but I totally understood as I tried less than a week before. They were prompt to answer my email and let me know. Angel's website will post what's available for purchase that day so I walked in and got a beautiful cake. It was red velvet with buttercream frosting, which did not disappoint. I cannot praise this bake shop enough. She makes the best red velvet cake I've ever tasted. The icing was out of this world good and they had fun combinations like banana flavored cake. The ratio of icing to cupcake was about perfect (I think icing was just over half the size of the cupcake, which to me is a literal sweet spot). I visited here when they first opened in April last year but didn't do a review for some reason...ahh! I recently went back this week (because they have now extended their closing hours) and fell in love all over again. The staff is so sweet and always have a smile on their face! You really feel like home. I didn't know about Angel before the storefront, but I am absolutely a long-term supporter now. The red velvet and banana nut bread cupcakes have me in a chokehold. Delicious cupcakes and the nicest people. I came here with my five-year-old. I usually don't eat sweets, but I got the tiramisu cupcake and not only ate the whole treat but also scrapped the last bits off the wrapper. It was so good. My five year old was having a bad day and behaved poorly. The owner and the assistant did not give me a hard time about this and even helped me to my car. Talk about A-1 service! I had drove by a few weeks ago and saw the balloons and added it to my list of things to do . After running in the grocery store, I decided to stop by. I came in under 20 minutes before closing and the owner Angel whipped me up a Salted Caramel (she'd sold out of what was in the window) cupcake. I also ordered a Red velvet because that's my business. It took everything in me not to ask her to sprinkle some pecans on top of both but when I say I'm so pleased, I mean just that!!! Second, she also followed up with a complimentary dozen of absolutely delicious cupcakes as an apology (which she delivered in person). This review is long overdue as Claudia has now made two incredibly beautiful masterpieces for two separate occasions. One for my nephew's baby shower, a simple yet elegant two tiered cake with an elephant topper (the details on the elephant including the umbrella resting on the trunk were exquisite). The second a year later for my nephew's birthday which was inspired by winnie the pooh and included handmade fondant figurines of all the characters and of course winnie's famous honey jar. We received so many compliments from our guests as the cakes are visually stunning but the best part is that they actually taste incredible.
