I had pay a deposit and the rest was due at the first lesson. Well something came up and at the last minute I needed to change the date. I called them and it was no problem. The morning of class we arrived and they were well organized and well prepared. They even had coffee and pastries. Everything was on schedule. Parents are required to attend the first hour and then it's the teenagers for the next two weekends. My daughter attended and passed all of her tests. Finally she was ready to hit the road with one of their instructors. She had to complete 8 hours and take a test before getting her license. They prepared her for everything and now she has her license. I definitely recommend Drive Dat Academy. They are a no nonsense company that takes driving seriously. The don't cut corners and I feel that they prepared my daughter.

At that point, I didn't really know all the questions I needed to ask. They offered information to me which helped me get financing, without which I would have not been able to attend. The trainers were amazing. They really take the time to make sure you understand and succeed. If they see you're not getting something they will offer alternative methods of learning so that everyone understands. I don't have a car, so I had to ride the bus and my class was 5-9pm. The trainers made sure I got safely to the bus stop throughout the entirety of the 8 wk program. I would absolutely recommend this school.

It's intensive because you have to take a whole weekend off and really dedicate yourself to this. Motorcycles like 24 hours a day for 4 days straight. You'll dream about motorcycles for weeks afterwards. There are two parts to this class: hands on and in class. The written tests were not easy. You have to study Louisiana laws about motorcycle safety and regulations. Memorize as much as you can. The hand on portion of the class was a little easier for me because I've been riding since I was 6. Before I ever got a bicycle, daddy brought out the big guns and bought me a dirt bike. I've had access to on ever since. I learned things about the bikes that I didn't learn before, in addition to how to be a safer and more defensive rider. If you're interested in buying a bike, you have to have your endorsement on your license. This is the safest way to get it.

My daughter, although excited, felt ill-prepared. They put her in the driver's seat without so much as explaining what the buttons do in the car. She even came to my car saying she my daughter wasn't at an 80% and only had one more lesson: I thought she was supposed to teach her to drive? Is that now why we pay almost $500? Not only that, the school doesn't pick up the student, they have to come to the school. Ultimately, we took a pause between lessons, and our village taught her to drive and got her comfortable behind the wheel. The owner was completely amazed at her 180-degree progress, and she was able to test and pass on her first to last lesson. I do not recommend this school at all, especially if your child has limited to no driving experience.
