    20 oz. Iced Coffee

Yum! This cute coffee shop checks off all the boxes, from great customer service, delicious coffee and yummy pastries! [[HIGHLIGHT]]Met up for a meeting here and enjoyed the sofa seating area. There are also a few tables and chairs. It's not overly large inside but has a nice feel inside.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Iced Coffee was prepared well and had a great taste. Lots of syrup flavors and specialty coffee drinks. They also have teas and sodas for the non-coffee drinkers. I had the guava & cheese pastry and it was so good! The crust was flakey and the filling was yummy. Service was outstanding. Only one person was working but she handled it like a pro. Also gave great suggestions about drinks. [[HIGHLIGHT]]They also have some board games and cards sitting out for people to play.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Will be back soon!

    Cozy seating

When I walked in there was no one at the counter. But it was just about 2 minutes and I was greeted and served with a smile. [[HIGHLIGHT]]I needed a quiet place and... there was Angie's . Feels like home with music playing quietly in the background[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Guava bite was delicious. Too much powdered sugar for my taste but easy enough to gently shake off. I'd go here again with my darling hubby. Or even a girlfriend if in the area.

    Pumpkin Spice Bliss and Quesitos

[[HIGHLIGHT]]The cafe has a very cute and clean aesthetic to it and an extremely welcoming atmosphere.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The Paninis are AMAZING! And the service is superb! Hector is very patient and ensures customer satisfaction is his number 1 priority. I can't recommend this place enough.

My coffee was great, but I was baffled to learn that they don't have any decaf options! This sadly meant that half of our group wasn't able to order anything and we left with only a few people satisfied.

Right before the Christmas holidays, I caught wind of this place that opened up in the area last year. It was a matter of time until I was able to stop by and check them out. Since my girlfriend and I had the day off work via the MLK holiday, it gave us time to head on over. Verdict? We were greeted immediately by a guy behind the counter. Inside was pretty nice with decor and even had some games to play if you dined in. Also, I found out from reading reviews online that this place is female owned and Latin. Definitely not bad in trying cuisine from different cultures, which is a plus for me. It took a few minutes of trying to decide on what to order, but ended up with a large Iced Caramel Macchiato, a pastelito de guayaba filled with Reeses chocolate and one estrellita de limon. All were delicious and definitely not sweet. You can definitely taste the caramel which was rich in flavor, but again, not too sweet. I did warm up the desserts for a few seconds, but the texture didn't change too much and the flavors weren't affected at all. Once again, we found a hidden gem. Like I always say, we will return :)

When it comes to coffee, I can always appreciate a local spot because I get to see what uniqueness it's offering through the menu. Upon entry, I was kindly approached and greeted. I asked for a moment to look at the menu and did not feel rushed to order at all (we love that!). I ended up ordering a Quesito for my pastry and Angie's Specialty for my drink. I was asked if I wanted my quesito warmed up or not, I asked for it to be warm. The quesito was buttery, flaky, and just the right amount of sweetness. Angie's Speciality was perfect! It was sweet, but still strong in coffee aroma and flavor. I love when there is a balance between sweeteners and coffee because at times an overload on syrups will kill the coffee flavor, but Angie's was a success. This is a cute and spacious spot to enjoy a quiet cup of coffee and/or get some work done.

Angie's Cafe is about 12 minutes from my house. I actually never frequented the Stoney Creek shopping center until now. Someone I was meeting up with suggested this cafe. I was shocked I had never heard of it before. The owner was super nice and the decor was too cute. I ordered a Matcha latte while I waited. I normally would get am Iced Caramel Latte but I know Matcha is good for your health. I ordered this with oat milk. It was quite tasty and now that I know it's here I'll be back to try some other drinks. They do carry an assortment of pastries as well but nothing gluten free to my knowledge.

I finally had the opportunity to stop by Angie's Cafe in Newport News. This veteran-owned cafe is in the Stoney Creek shops and is a great addition to the lineup over there. They serve coffees, puerto rican pastries and paninis. I went on a Monday so it wasn't busy and there was plenty of space for me and my family to set up with the baby. The cashier Veronica was sweet and welcoming and took the time to explain all of the different menu items and what was in the pastries. I learned that the owners get the coffee from Costa Rica and I am a fan of coffee so I had to get a cup. It was hot outside so I opted for a latte with dulce de leche (caramel). The coffee was boldly flavored and the caramel was a perfect addition. My boyfriend got the Tropical Fruits frappe which he devoured. We decided to get two Tripleta paninis, the name Tripleta is because this panini holds triple the meats, ham, turkey and chicken, with tomato, lettuce and onion and your choice of mayo or butter. I got mine sans onion and mayo. The bread they use is phenomenal, soft and tasty but strong enough not to fall apart and the sandwiches are filling, I could only finish half of mine and had to save the other half for my drive back to DC. For dessert we got the pastelillos de Guayaba which are pastries stuffed with guava and topped with powdered sugar and a Pacha cup which was essentially a passion fruit flavored freeze cup. I am OBSESSED with Guava so once we were told the delectable pastries had Guava in them it was game over! Give me ALL OF THEM! LOL The restaurant was decorated with cute little floral arrangements and they even had a wall which was perfect for taking cute photos so you know I had to flick it up for the gram. The bathrooms were clean as well. I will definitely be back because Veronica mentioned that they bake fresh empanadas filled with tasty meats and empanadas are definitely at the top of my favorite foods list. If you're in the Newport News area I definitely recommend Angie's cafe for breakfast, lunch, coffee run or quick snack!

I knew if I wanted long enough a really cute coffee shop would open up near me with sandwiches, pastries and of course great coffee. It always seem the neat places move (not mentioning any name here), or are not easy to get to or parking is a challenge. Out of shear luck, I parked in front of Angie's cafe on my way to another business, saw a sign for baked goods, coffee and paninis and I was going in. And I was not disappointed in the least bit. The interior is clean but colorful and simple (one of few places I wanted to take pictures of). As for my lunch of a turkey panini, a pastry and coffee it was just great. The price for the quality level is more than fair, parking is plentiful, and the staff could not have been nicer. The good (or bad) news is they are going to see me often because I think I found my new favorite coffee shop.

My husband and I love this cafe! It's super cozy and the food and Sri la are super yummy. The Nutella frappe is a must have! We always experience good and quick service. Definitely going to make this place a regular spot.

Ham panini (no lettuce, tomato's, onion). With mayo, American cheese and a fried egg. As well as Angie's specialty coffee iced

Super cute place. I never leave reviews on Yelp. But this place deserves it. It's a Hispanic coffee shop. The food and coffee are so so so good. they have wifi as well. I highly recommend

Celiac -Gluten-free review…read more Oooooooh I love me some Busy Nothings! Living in Suffolk, this would typically be way out of the way, but I have weekly appointments in the area that make stopping in a no-brainer. This is a Jane Austen themed coffee spot, and admittedly as voracious of a reader as I am, I haven't read any Jane Austen, but that doesn't dampen my experience. First off, the coffee is good af! They have a rotating selection of fun drinks, but my go-to is their drip with a splash of cream. My stance is if a coffee shop has good quality drip, then you can trust them to make anything else coffee-related satisfactory. Oh and the oat milk option is Oatly brand, so also Celiac safe! Second, the environment is a vibe. The inside is cozy, and I love that there always seems to be a mix of people who are there to work and also just meeting up to hang out. Also big bonus on art displayed by local artist Dathan Kane. Apparently this was inherited with the space and I love that they've chosen to keep it displayed. And the music they play is a perfect soundtrack for the atmosphere. They do serve food here that I cannot comment on bc it is not Celiac friendly, butttttt they do carry small individually-wrapped pastries from Sans Bakery, a NY-based gluten-free bakery. There are always three different options and I am completely and hopelessly hooked on the raspberry bars, though the brownies and zucchini bread are also very good. Big ups to the owner Debbie who I had the pleasure of talking to- I got the impression that all of the choices here are intentional and that she cares about all of the aspects of the experience here, and it shows. Definitely give it a try if you're in the area.

I was told by some trusted sources that there were two other mom-and-pop Korean grocery stores other than the Grand Mart and E-marts of the area! I happened to be in the Peninsula and decided to pop in for some goodies before my next appointment. When you walk in, to the left, they have the refrigerators with the produce and the wall in the back is lined with more fridges and freezers to store all the cold, perishable and frozen items. I saw things like fresh perilla leaves, kongnamul (Korean bean sprouts) and what I loved about this particular mart was that they had a good variety of ready, grab-n-go banchan in smaller sizes. I was told by the nice lady who worked there that they make kimbap on the daily (if you didn't know, the best and cheapest way to get kimbap is at almost all the Korean grocery stores). She also said that the owner makes all the banchan and usually makes them on fridays. I picked up things like purple potato starch noodles (say what?! The noodles used for japchae are purple...maybe the Koreans are getting on the ube train...), a box of Bacchus-D (Korean energy drink that was the inspo behind Red Bull), Banana milk, Coffee milk, and some Korean ssuk gae-tteok, which is a chrysanthemum leaf rice cake (or muwgwort), coated in a bean powder! It was SO GOOD and so fresh! It's a Korean version of mochi, if you're familiar with that. All in all, I can't wait to go back and stock up on banchan that I am too lazy to make and try their kimbap. Things to note: I was told that this is strictly a Korean grocery store and not an "International" one as most of the Asian grocery stores label themselves. There are no other products related to other Asian cuisines, just Korean. Enjoy, Friends!
