When my Dad 'popped' his hand between the garage door weight and a brick wall the Angliss was the place we rushed him too. His fingers had all snapped and the bones had moved down and were sitting between his knuckles. Safe to say there was blood everywhere, his hands were a mess and I nearly fainted! (Never mind my Dad...) We raced him into Emergency and waited about an hour to get seen as more urgent emergency patients came in before us and while we waited. The staff were really good at keeping patients calm and it was obvious that they were doing their absolute best. They eventually took Dad into a room and re-set his fingers and gave him a heap of stitches. He emerged an hour or so later with a little finger cast on each finger that would hold each in place. The whole experience was pretty fast considering normal waiting times in emergency rooms and we were quite impressed. There was another time when he slit just one finger open and he was left in the waiting room for eight hours. (That was at a different hospital, but you can see now why we love the Angliss just that little bit more as a result.) The staff were great and they even gave me some water because I looked so pale with shock. They really turned quite a scary experience into something that was okay. read more

This place was under renovation when I came to visit someone. I went to the clerks window for directions and found she was busy talking to her plummer about her bathroom renovations. I was totally shocked that someone who was on the clock working would make me wait 5 minutes while she discussed the price of tiles. I never complain but this was very poor service. I'm sure the hospital is ok though. read more

Went in with stomach pain, neasua and hot and cold flashes, checked in and then sat down. Didn't have any of the nurses come over to me and see how I was going, didn't have my BP checked or my temp check. Waited for 3 hours and got told at 8am I would be seeing someone and then at 9 I was still waiting. Ended up leaving and going home to see if I could rest it off. Very unprofessional and no protocol was followed. read more

My wife just gave birth here and I can't rate them highly enough. They were amazing throughout the whole process. There was renovation work going on but we weren't disturbed at all. The staff were kind and caring and seemed well trained. We were treated so well and would definitely use this hospital in the future if we have another child. read more
