He assisted us with redesigning a 25-year-old wedding ring for a 25th anniversary update. He was very thoughtful and considerate of the sentimental side of using the original stone while capturing exactly what I wanted in an updated look. I was able to add a necklace and earrings utilizing stones from my original band. I'm in love with all 3 pieces and get complements often on all of them, but especially my wedding ring. We really loved the selection available and the deletion process was relatively easy. Communication was a huge issue - email didn't always answer all of our questions, and we had to repeat a few things a few times. Our rings were several weeks late, and we had to initiate communication for each and every update. The message we received was "we'll let you know if we hear anything" - no...we wanted them to actively find out what was going on, and had to email every time a target date was missed. The biggest snafu was delivery - the rings were supposed to be sent and held at a fedex depot since I wasn't going to be home for delivery. This was discussed and agreed upon with the initial order. There was NEVER a time that I indicated that the rings were to be sent to my work address - and yet they were. How do you send several thousand dollars worth of jewelry to the wrong address? Despite promising me that they'd correct the issue, they never did. The rings were sent to the receiving department of my employer, and only through a flurry of communication on my end did the situation get resolved. There was zero follow up - haven't heard a word since, and that's too bad. Despite the awful communication and less than stellar customer service, we'd have liked to have continued the business relationship - We have what we purchased, which was made by another jeweler - its beautiful and exactly what we wanted...but based on the customer service and communications issues, we're unlikely to spend with Anglo again, and will not recommend them to others. read more

We had my wedding ring custom designed here in 2006 and I love it. That is why I have gone back to them even though I no longer live in Des Moines, HOWEVER, they have since went through some changes and the new staff isn't competent, as Dr R who wrote a review before me said, they got EVERYTHING on my latest purchase wrong. I tied to have my late grandmother's wedding ring made into a nice ring that I could cherish. After a long ordeal they made a complete mess of it and blamed me. This is a store I once told everyone I knew about, but I no longer feel they stand behind their work and do not recommend it to anyone. It is sad when the change of one employee can change the entire experience and quality you expect from a store. read more

We have used this place multiple times for jewelry repair. I can't recommend it enough. They are always quick in getting repairs done and do a very high quality of work. I lost my wedding ring in a parking lot and found it a week and a half later in pretty rough shape. It looked like it had been run over several times and had big huge gouges in it. I don't know how but Anglo was able to fix it up and when I got it back it looked brand new. When it comes to jewelry help I can't recommend Anglo enough. read more

I do not write many reviews but Anglo has exceeded expectations. I bought an Hamilton Watch from them around ten months ago and in that time a piece of the band has broken off. This is clearly not Anglo's fault so I emailed Hamilton to resolve the issue and they said the band was not under warranty. Anglo, however, took it upon themselves to order me a new band ($114.00 msrp from hamilton) and replace it all free of charge. Customer service is above and beyond here. I did my homework on pricing diamonds and was met with respect! If you do your homework, you can get a great deal here and be treated exceptionally well. My husband and I had my engagement ring and wedding band custom made from Anglo, and we bought my husband's wedding band from them as well. Within 1.5 years, a diamond fell out of my wedding band. We brought the ring back and asked them to repair it, which they very reluctantly did. The assured us they fixed the problem, and we would not need to worry about losing any more stones from the band. Now, 2 years after the repair, another diamond has fallen out of the band. For the amount of money these pieces cost, there is absolutely no excuse for this to have happened not once, but twice. I'm sure the designer pieces sold by Anglo are fine, but absolutely do not purchase anything designed or repaired by Anglo in house. The workmanship on their products is completely sub par. read more

We did not have a good experience working with Anglo for my engagement ring and will not shop here again. They got everything about it wrong - from the metal choice, to the stone quality, to even my fiance's last name on the appraisal. If you do choose to shop here, we would strongly recommend that you triple check that they have understood everything you want correctly. Otherwise you may find yourself facing a decision like I did - keeping the ring they made incorrectly for sentimental reasons or trading/exchanging it to get what it was supposed to be in the first place. read more
