On the way down from the Castelo de São Jorge, I came across this neat dog park along a narrow alleyway. It is triangular shaped and securely fenced in.
The park has some shade and lots of room for the dogs to run around. Some benches for the humans to sit on while their canines get some exercise. Quite a few bits of climbing and "dog show" pieces of equipment if you're looking to do some training.
The park does have lighting so it would be pretty neat in the evening. It is a very clever use of the space that would otherwise be a weeded-over piece of land.
There are rules posted and thank you, Google Translate. Vaccinations and licenses required. No dangerous breeds without leash. Humans must stay with their dogs. Children in the park must be supervised. Pick up after your dog. No feeding in the park. No toys in the park. Keep the gate closed. Pretty standard for a dog park.
