I have to be honest and can't let my nostalgia cloud an honest review. ------------------------------------------------------ Good: This is your typical gym. If you're a meathead good! Nice old school Iron plates, full squat rack, free weight benchs, gallon of water, string tanks, bags on the floor, neon lights, murals, grunting allowed, a cardio room, and two class rooms. Joe, the manager is a no nonsense guy. You screw with him or the front desk girls and he'll kick your ass out. Nice guy, just don't be a jerkoff. Memberships prices are cheap, $9 a month if you use your card and sign for a year. Nicest of the three main gyms around -54 fitness/Shapes-to-come- *Planet Fitness isn't a real gym, not included* ------------------------------------------------------ Bad: Used to be 24/hr,,,don't need to explain that benefit. They used to hire clear, english speaking staff that were friendly and engaged the customers. After the change, it was difficult to catch what they would say, if they would even talk to you at all. The cardio room was actually a Pool! It was very nice but they filled in with concrete making it a huge cardio room. This sucked because the pool was the only indoor one around. (Shapes-to-come pool is disgusting) The mirrors would be broken or cracked from weight dropping and duct taped. Neve replaced until months after. Locker room floor was never cleaned, I got athletes foot and ring worm from the guys bench. Lockers are beat up, some don't even lock or the bottoms look like someone punched them. Speed bag and heavy bag would be ripped down or broken weekly. Equipment would have worn seats or pads, which took a few months to get replaced. -All of this and it took years for the membership price to drop, and only after Planet Fitness opened up. ------------------------------------------------------ Take it as you will, this gym used to be amazing. It changed my life for the better, but it seems like the place is taking a turn for the worse. I only go now for the 4 way neck machine once a week... Maybe.

I wear oversized tshirts and leggings, never bother anyone. Unprofessionalism at its finest. I am humiliated and disrespected. It sits on about 50 acres total of open area that has a pool and a large area for outside activities. They have one on one aides to insure the campers have no issues. It is well designed as well as being well maintained. Meals are provided but the most important thing it allows the campers to disconnect from their smartphones 7 video games and start to enjoy the simple pleasures in life. We went there to see for ourselves how it was and were very impressed with the staff as well as he accommodations that the campers stay in. We are sending our son there for 2 weeks but be aware that the camp fills fast so you need to register as soon as possible to insure you have the full advantage of the offerings provided. This is a little slice of heaven close to Philadelphia.

I have been a member there now for going on 3 years. Millville just recently opened a new gym in the area called Anytime fitness. Holly City puts it to shame with all the classes and the pool! They have a great selection of free weights, and the cardio room is separated from the weight room so if you feel insecure you can stay upstairs in the cardio room. Unfortunately, it is solvent only due to government assistance, which I think will ultimately doom the business. The pool is nice, but as the only pool in town, is busy. That means there is little time for only members to have a free swim. There is a good room full of cardio equipment. That is where I spend most of my time. The weight room is being re-done as are the steam rooms and locker rooms. All should be a step forward for the Family Center. They also offer child watch daily, which can be helpful for working parents. The girls who babysit the children are friendly. There are many classes offered here. Classes are less expensive for members, but the public can participate.

Rachel, the owner of Fitness Mogul, is a similarly amazing person, with a kind and personable attitude. I haven't taken her classes yet, but have only heard amazing things! It's difficult enough to find a pole studio in the AC area, let alone one that allows men to train. I'm happy to have found my Fitness Mogul family, and literally can't wait for pole classes every week. I've brought a few friends in for classes, and every one loves it just as much as I do!
