After our shoot and upon choosing our photos, I paid in full and it took 17 days to get my final photos (we discussed a 2 week timeline). I asked her to fix 2/10 photos (I felt like we looked like AI) to which she did not respond. I had to email her twice and text message her. She finally responded 6 days later and said she would fix the photos. 2 weeks have gone by and I still have not received the fixed photos I requested. I've text her thrice and emailed her to which I've had no response. Our photo shoot was June 29 and now it is August 15 and I still haven't received a product to which I'm pleased with that I've already paid for. The photos are over edited and similar looking to AI. However, some positive feedback I will say is her prices are fairly reasonable, she provided the cake for my baby's cake smash photos (and it was delicious), she allowed for outfit changes, and she was able to get some really good shots of my little one despite him not being in the best mood. I get we are all busy but I do feel like I've given Breanna ample time to respond to me to which she hasn't, so now I just hope that she reaches out to resolve the situation.

Laurie Brandt ended up being my first pick for my first born son's newborn photographer. I LOVE…read morenewborn photography but Laurie's work was hands down the best. She had so many ideas I loved I did my best not to torture her in regards to themes, ideas, & props. She also had done newborn photography with several acquaintances of mine. The long winding country road I drove that November that leads to her studio should be on the cover of a New England Postcard. The falling leaves and trees I passed set the scene or privacy, nature & serenity! She has a gorgeous home photography studio- set on a picturesque property with 360 degree lake views. Just being there brought a sense of calm over you! Laurie asked me what I wanted and introduced me to her daughter Tiffany who would be assisting her during the Newborn Photography shoot. Laurie immediately got to work & I could tell she was a naturally creative spirit. She has an amazing energy and aura about her that transcends into her work! She took my ideas and transformed them into beautiful art. I wanted to incorporate a "Prince Theme" since that was my sons baby shower as well as a "Peter Rabbit Theme" since that was my sons Nursery as well as those quintessential newborn pictures & a few Christmas pictures since it was next month I could use a few of these for Christmas Cards as well as whatever she suggested which was a "Mother & Me" Picture & some other things I Loved. I loved and wished I could have kept them all (including the proofs)! Most important about Laurie in addition to her spirit was how great and accommodating she was to me and my son. I had no qualms about her holding, posing, or adjusting him. She also gave me plenty of time for feeding/changing throughout the session. You could tell she was a Mom with an amazing maternal side that translates into her photography. My son slept through the ENTIRE photo shoot except for when he peed on Laurie- which she handled- LIKE A CHAMP. She quickly let me know and we got him cleaned up and she just kept rolling! That in and of itself- was amazing! Naturally- I felt bad and apologized and she was like "Don't worry about it" she Shook it Off enduring "it happens all the time"! She also has an amazing room dedicated to Newborns/Kids & Their Mom's/Caretakers in which she has a changing table with all supplies, wipes/toys/etc. Newborn Props & Newborn Outfits as well as an area to breastfeed -which I personally thought was amazing!! She made me feel immediately comfortable and I'm a pretty shy individual! Her young daughter Tiffany was also naturally gifted with photography and newborn posing and appeared to be just as creative as her experienced mother! They made a great team and made me feel great about being a First Time Mom and observed I was very natural tending to my son and stopping to breastfeed in between our 3 hour session. The studio grounds are absolutely beautiful & her backdrops are amazing. I know she also does "themes" and offers full scale sets for some of these I believe such as Fairy Sets (unless that's just an example of her beautiful editing). I've seen her do newborn photography with: Disney Movies, Where the Wild Things Are, Rainbow Baby Tributes, Police Officer Tributes, and really anything you want. WHAT TO KNOW: Laurie is extremely talented and creative and is amazing with both newborns AND parents. She comes highly recommended by many friends and individuals in RI! She is very easy to work with, down to earth and extremely approachable and works with what YOU want! CONTACT HER ASAP to schedule an appointment- because you don't want her to be booked when going into labor and she usually doesn't like to take newborns over 14 days old. The first time you meet her you can tell that she gets inspired by each and every shoot- which is refreshing to work with and see! She is also an amazing and FAST editor- as well! She is my absolute favorite newborn photographer in the State of Rhode Island & I would recommend her to any Mom - especially nervous first time Mom's like I was because she put me at ease instantly and she made the whole process a breeze! And the results are another amazing story. I heard about her through the grapevine and did maternity photos with her. Let me tell you, the last thing an expectant mom who resembles the Goodyear blimp would like to do is pose for photos. I already felt beautiful and glowing, just didn't want to capture the physical gains on camera; however, Laurie made me feel comfortable and brought out gorgeous gowns, utilized some of the beautiful nature on her property, & and took some pretty damn good photos too! Next visit was the newborn session and she handled my 10 day old peanut with such care, she never woke, not until the end! Laurie kept the studio warm and gave ample time for feedings and changes. Most recently, we did the 6 month shoot - once again, Laurie had that magic that resulted int daughters personality shining through. Positive energy reinforces positive results! First context - make no mistake, this service is expensive, and subsequent prints of the shots will be also; understand the proposal before you go for a session. However, the professional photography quality is top notch, the multiple outfit option made for good variety, and the sheer quantity of shots snapped and made available for review was remarkable. As great gifts for your guy go, this was surprising, refreshing, tantalizing, and a true treat to receive. But speaking of surprising, just one gripe - after we reviewed the photos and my wife had a chance to think back, the question came up - why so many "oh, I'm thoroughly surprised" shots? A smattering of old-timey shots, including commensurate facial expressions? Sure, of course - Pin-Up is in the business' name. But mostly smiles or natural facial expressions, left more up to the client and less up to suggestion? Far preferable. My wife thought she might have done it a little differently if she went a second time, but again - there were so many shots, it's hard to complain. I came away with a small treasure cache of favorites, and we eventually saw so many of the "so shocked" photos that we managed a lot of good laughs about them. As for the collection of shots I got? I wanted to surprise my boyfriend with a unique, sexy present for our anniversary so I signed up for one of their workshops. I arrived at their studio mid-morning to have my hair and makeup done, then moved on to wardrobe and accessories. They had so many outfits to choose from, tons of pairs of shoes, and some cute accessories and props. I brought my own lingerie as one of my outfit changes, but also picked 2 more from their racks (the package I selected starts with 2 outfit changes included but I opted to add a third outfit...figured I may as well since I was already there in hair and makeup). Shooting the pictures was a blast! Corey the photographer was great...put me right at ease. She walked me though different poses and expressions but also asked me what my ideas were, so it was a nice balance. Lulu changed my hairdo for each set, and the lovely wardrobe lady changed my shoes/jewelry as well. In a few days, an online gallery was available for me to look at all the photos from my set (around 100, I think). 4 from each outfit were already touched-up, but I decided I wanted a few more edited and paid for around 10 more to be done. In the end, I had around 20 pictures that I printed out myself and put into a scrapbook to give as my gift. He LOVED it. As a bonus, they contacted me asking permission to use my picture as the Valentine's Day pinup in Motif Magazine, and we have that clipping framed on the wall. So, in summary: a fun experience, beautiful pictures, awesome, unique gift, and not only something for my boyfriend but something for me to have as well ("look how sexy Grandma used to be!!"). It was definitely pricey (when it was said and done, my initial package, extra outfit, additional pictures I had edited, 8x10 prints, and the scrap booking materials made this a $500+ gift), but a once-in-a-lifetime experience with pictures that I will have and enjoy for the rest of my life.
