Ages ranging from 22 months to 80, we were NOT an easy group to work with I assure you. Yet, with Sara's skillful direction, artistic eye, professional expertise, positive attitude, and calm manner, over 100 shots were taken in an hour. Sara created a natural and as stress-free as possible experience for our family. She directed us quickly on posing with her expert eye and overcame the short attention spans of the children. They were super friendly & flexible right from the jump. They answered my zillions of questions & were patient while I found a time to come by the studio during my busy schedule. We arranged a payment plan through Cash App - a deposit before the shoot & then the remaining balance after the shoot. The studio feels like it's in "the middle of nowhere." The building itself is on a quiet road & you're not quite sure if you're in the right place. But when you find their suite within the building, you're immediately sure. The space is colorful, bright, spacious, with props galore but not overwhelming. The two photographers (Katy & Espy) gave off such warm, welcoming, & exciting energy. We did a 30 minute shoot that sorta ended up being 45 minutes (in the best way possible) & I just didn't want it to end. Katy & Espy were simultaneously shooting, directing, gassing me up, moving props, cracking jokes, & more. EXTREME MULTITASKING! SO MUCH FUN! Both photographers sent me their completed photosets within 20 days of the shoot. So good. So, so, so good. Finally, I would rate this business & this duo a 10/10 on the queer friendly scale. This studio is 100% a safe space for radical self expression.

She offered everything I was looking for, at a fair price and her editing skills were amazing. We had multiple calls leading up to our wedding day and she was extremely helpful and answered all my questions. We had a tight timeline and she spent a while helping work it out down to the minute. We worked and re-worked the timeline and she was happy to update and offer input. The day would not have run so smoothly without all her help. On the day of the wedding we had Meagan and her second shooter, Alex. Both were fantastic. They joked and made us feel relaxed and in our element. She had a shot list and remembered all of the tiny details we requested. She moved fast but didn't rush it. She knew how important it was that we got to be present during our day. After the wedding, we received around 70 (!!) sneak peak photos a few days after our wedding, it was a great surprise email to receive during our honeymoon. Each picture was phenomenal- I honestly would have been happy if those were all the photos we received. A few months later we received all the final products and she even made us a little slideshow of the pictures! She captured the true emotion of the day, all the details, and all the fun. During the shoot I asked that she incorporate the blanket and hat I had made for my newborn daughter. When I selected the images I liked (even though there were no pictures of the blanket and hat on my daughter - clearly because she though they were "ugly"), I receive a text from her (shown) that was filled with such appalling, hateful language, where she is trash talking me to me. I am truly disgusted that a professional photographer who claims to embody love and life, who we trusted to take pictures of our babies could behave like this. Please, if you are looking for a professional photographer, do not use Cecilia Tavares. I am so beyond disappointed, and now I am left with no pictures of my newborn and toddler together.
