The entire length of the festival was packed with families, pups and people soaking up the sun and good smells. I had just been to the Queens Night Market, and some of the same vendors were here, but the prices were significantly higher. That would be the only complaint. I guess there's inflation based on the Manhattan Local. Still a very worthy festival, and I would happily go back.

I was at Met Life Stadium for this event a few weeks ago and witness alot of crazy. I got there a…read morebit late because I had a family function earlier that day but it rained so heavily I honestly did not miss much. The price of this event was very expensive, I mean seriously VIP tickets were $200 a day. I was lucky as can be that I won them from a twitter contest. I was shocked to be honest, both days of VIP, was very grateful. The main theme is a day time into night time RAVE, no other way to describe it. Maybe not like the ones in the Mojave desert or EDC Las Vegas but those are hard to duplicate. There was the EXPERIENCE OF 4 STAGES- 2 DAYS. 100,000 SUPPOSEDLY people there. So many smiling faces, so many women dressed very scandalous for this. There were litterally hundreds of artists there performing. Over 70 DJS in all. There were even Carnival Rides to go on for your entertainment, Interactive Art Installations and one GIGANTIC OWL. The day I was there was Saturday and there was a mess of people there. Martin Garrix was the first one I really saw I believe. He was definitely a fan favorite. HARDWELL was also a main act and he did his thing too. *All in all, a great experience, and a really hot day of moving around here and there. I got some water and there were free refilling stations. I feel betrayed and lied to…read more When you purchase tickets to EDC, it says "rain or shine." It even says it on the shiny colorful tickets you get. THEY DON'T MEAN THAT, PEOPLE! On Saturday of this year, it started drizzling... raining... well, okay, fine, pouring buckets... and they made us all go inside the stadium for at least a whole hour! Liars! Can you imagine all those people huddled up in the parking lot making their way inside? Needless to say, it was a zoo. Otherwise, EDC was an incredible 2-day experience and I can't wait to go again. I didn't think I'd love it this much, especially having gone to Coachella last month and thinking this would pale in comparison. But it had the elements of Coachella that I loved while having its own qualities that made it unique. Obviously go if you're into the music (EDM, house, dance, electro house, D&B, techno, dance punk, hardstyle, dubstep), or if you just want to witness the atmosphere, I guess. Speaking of which, girls are all in crop tops, high waisted shorts, and floral headbands. Sounds cliche, but it was fun dressing up! I saw maybe 10 concerts within the 2 days, which I believe is worth the money. I also very much appreciated the real bathrooms available inside versus the standard portapotties. Beware: there is a very small variety of food (Papa John's, chicken fingers, and fries. That's it) and the prices are outrageous. $7 for French fries whatwhat! Also, security is over the top. They don't let you bring in makeup or water bottles (because apparently these things are made of ecstasy??...) Transportation that I took from NYC: metronorth from Penn Station to Secaucus, then bus from there to Metlife. $10.50 roundtrip and so easy a monkey could do it. In any case, go and dance like no one is watching!

The Giant mouse trap is back this year and is always fun to watch. There are plenty to see and lot of freebies! The event is wonderful for kids and adults too. Can't wait for next year! Tip: parking is a big problem so go early or take public transportation; but is not so easy. You can walk from the 7-train 111th St. Station which is long or take buses to 108th St. (Q58 and Q23) and walk just one block. They need a shuttle. Food is expensive and just average but not as expensive as a baseball game; AND YOU MAY LEARN SOMETHING! They do have free bike parking, So ride your bike if you can! I recommend visiting Sunday because it is less crowded.

So I assumed I would be standing by the sidelines while my friends geeked out in a way I felt I couldn't. This was so not the case. There is something for everyone at Maker Faire. I was amazed at the go kart races, soldered for the first time making a blinking lights button (Still can't believe I made that! Me!), assembled a marshmallow shooter, went to a panel about movie prop making, saw the World's Largest 3D printer, make a fan out of popsicle sticks and a battery, and saw the coolest show ever involving a ton of Coke and Mentos (EepyBird) that blew my mind. I did a lot of other fun stuff, but those were the highlights. The entire event is huge, so prepare to do a lot of walking. There are food trucks and seating in some spots, but you have to walk around a bit to find it. But what I think Make Faire does best is inspire. It's inspired me to learn and build beyond my comfort zone. And I think anyone who goes will walk away with the same feeling.

We signed up for the Underworld Tour…read moreon a day that ended up being incredibly hot and sunny, but Roger came prepared with bottles of ice-cold water in hand when we arrived. Pretty soon after, we were so engrossed with the history and his lived experience with each site that we forgot about the heat! Toward the end of the tour we even got to meet a local former gang member and hear directly about his experiences, too. Both were great storytellers and Roger, a great historian, too. We're eager to explore more with CLT!

First of all, I have loved and enjoyed the comedy of Seth Meyers for many years. Now that I've seen…read morea taping of his show I love him even more. Going to a studio taping involves a lot of standing and waiting. I found the seating process for this show to be very well organized and everyone interacted very politely with audience members. The process is simple; apply, get your confirmation code, arrive at 30 Rockefeller Plaza, and wait on line for ID and ticket check. (People will arrive earlier than the stated check in time. The earlier you arrive, the closer your seat will be to the front). You will receive a small "Seth Meyers card" after your ID and emailed ticket have been checked. Then you will continue to wait in the lobby. After a while, small groups of maybe 10-15 people are ushered up the stairs after the little card is exchanged for a ticket and a wrist band. Then one by one everyone must go through security, which is set up similar to the airport scans and metal detectors, complete with trays for your items. You must put on the wristband and show the ticket to get into the waiting room. There is plenty of seating, a water fountain, and a unisex bathroom in this room. Other shows share this space so when there is an overlap in production times the room becomes very full. Everyone is encouraged to use the bathroom or drink water before going into the studio because we are told that once in we will not be allowed out until the taping is finished. All phones must be powered off and put away. After a short wait people are called into the hallway in alphabetical order based on the letter/letters on the back of the ticket. (Two or more people arriving together get the same letter assignment and will be seated together.) Groups of 8-10 people are lined up and told to wait by the elevator that will take everyone to the floor of the studio. The hallway to the studio from the elevator is decorated with framed stills from iconic SNL sketches from the 50 years of the show. (No pictures are allowed since we were previously told to power off all phones.) The seats are well cushioned flip down seats. Similar in dimension and space to what one might find at a Broadway show. Not the most comfortable but definitely not the worst. A warm up comic said a few things and explained how the taping will proceed. The comic randomly tossed t-shirts and exited. Seth Meyers came out and thanked us for our time and also said a few jokes. He in effect did his own warm up, then he told us he will reenter in less than a minute and the show will begin. He did his opening and a Closer Look, then the taping stoped for a few minutes. He walked up the steps into the audience and said he had time to answer a few questions. What a great guy!! The taping resumed and the two guests on May 7, 2026, were Lisa Kudrow and Nicholas Braun. After the two interviews the credits rolled, then the taping was over. We were directed back to the elevators and each given a 10% off coupon to use in the gift shop upon exiting. Definitely a worthwhile experience if you are in New York City or plan to visit.

It Took me two months to get ticket for 'Late night with Seth Meyers's show. It was so worth it ,…read morehe is very funny . I also love how kind, gentle and polite he is. I get to see one of my favorite actresses Charlize Theron , I did wish that Taron Egerton was there too. I also seen the movie on Netflix , so worth it. Taron did a phenomenal job in that movie . I wished they let us take pictures because the studio is beautiful. Very friendly stuff. Be sure to come early because the lines get long . They also share the waiting area with Kelly Clarkson show . I definitely will come back , not a single regret.
