There are also some attractions along the Promenade (a lighthouse, the lighthouse keeper's house, a fish sculpture, a maritime museum, a decoy museum, and a waterfront restaurant). Walking along the Promenade and back was the highlight of our visit to Havre de Grace. It's not long, but it's a great little place to take a stop and stretch your legs if you're in the area (we were driving from Baltimore to Philadelphia and stopped for a visit to Havre de Grace on the way).

The large dog park field is very patchy. There is some grass and some soil area all around. Towards the back of the dog park, the grass is very dead and long. A couple things I noticed: - People do not pick up after their dogs so there is a lot of poop around (be careful where you step). This was the biggest disappointment for me. - They do offer complimentary poop bags. - The trash can outside the dog park near the parking lot. - There is no water for the dogs unlike most dog parks. You need to bring your own.

I always park at Annie's Playground parking lot and start from there. It's approximately 6.5 miles out to Williams St. and back. People are always super friendly along the trail. Families walk with their kids in tow. It's just a great family (or solo) trail to walk/run on. The trail is paved and a little hilly at times but not anything unmanageable.There were few forks in the road that confused me as i went along, but I just asked people and was directed to where I was looking to go. I've been coming for years and they have still maintained this park from 2001 when my oldest was born until now in 2025. The grounds are always maintained, plenty of parking, and grills. The Hammerman area has a small beach, with sand and grass options. The water was a great temperature both times we went, and the water is not at all gross like I was expecting. You can go in without any water shoes. There is a building with showers, changing rooms, bathroom, water fountains, vending machines. It is close enough to walk to from the picnic table area that has grills and a large pit for hot coals. One huge downside was that I did not notice any trash cans in the area nearby. I want to go back to try some of the trails nearby.

My mom, boyfriend and I brought some take-away to the park for lunch. There are several picnic tables available, on a concrete patio, overlooking the water. It was a perfect shaded spot, listening to the lapping of the water against the shore, watching a flock of geese feed in the distance on the water. During the popular season it seems that you can rent kayaks, paddle boats, and jetskis. There's usually a lifeguard and some other stuff, but we visited in mid-September and on a Wednesday, so it was quiet. My favorite thing ever though was that they have one of those mats that make it possible for wheelchair users to travel across the sand, and to the packed sand near the water. I have seen these in actual Miami, and Myrtle Beach but neither of those places actually took them seriously. The one in Coney Island was very close to the one I experienced in Middle River, the mat ends only feet from the water. If you're an able-bodied person, bless you, but you cannot understand the utmost delight in finding a place that remembers that people in wheelchairs exist, and also love to be near the water. It's absolutely wonderful to be remembered and accommodated. Loved my afternoon here. Would recommend.

Everyone agreed that the flow from room to room was great because as soon as the kids would wind down from one area it was time to switch. Everyone loved the pizza. Drink pitchers were filled promptly. They even cut that cake for us... we literally didn't have to think about anything and could focus on the kids. The staff even packaged up the left over pizza without us asking. It was a great experience and our son has already asked for his party to be there again.
