I have found these sessions very impactful in helping my stress and exploring my inner world. Each session is like a journey for me. I never know what I will experience, but each time, I have been surprised and delighted to discover new levels of energetic healing. I leave the sessions so relaxed and in touch with my self. Glad that I made a reservation the day prior. It was fully booked out. I arrived 20 min prior. Was able to get mat, towel rentals (first visit with free rentals). The front desk gave a good overview of the studio. Once you walk in, to the right are cycling rooms, change rooms/shower rooms. To the left was the yoga studio. They offer a good variety of accessories, cork blocks or soft blocks. Etc. I didn't see foam roller but I could have missed it completely. Mat and mat towels are good. But it is common rental mat issue with some smells. The mat towel comes with good grip. Prana flow was good with excellent breath work. The chanting was greatly appreciated too. I found the fellow students seem to have practiced for a while. Some with great techniques and postures. Teacher here was awesome too. This seems to be a solid choice in Santa Fe. Glad that I found it and get to stretch out while in town.

The lessons were catered to the level of the students in attendance, and he keeps an eye on everyone during warm ups, drills and rolls, engaging with his students by constructively critiquing all students (even the visitor!). I thoroughly enjoyed enjoyed the drills and class structure, and what all students brought to the rolls. Fundamentals are ingrained at JJBJJ, and it was a great experience! If you're in Santa Fe, give JJBJJ a call! They've got a great independent school atmosphere, and Professor, Teacher, and students all are welcoming. Because I didn't want to sign up to have a full time trainer follow me at every workout, the staff blew me off and basically told me, "don't call us we'll call you," because I came in when they were busy. I have a decent background in fitness, but the staff talked to me as if I were a child and had knew nothing about fitness; a canned speech. Couldn't (wouldn't) answer questions beyond the standard spiel. Their attitude was "you would be lucky and should be grateful to workout here because we (the staff) are so great and the members are pathetic." This is one of the worst-vibe gyms I've ever been into. If you've ever belonged to a gym before, don't go here. If you've never stepped a foot in a gym before, then...this is the clientele they serve. Ugh.

But....the hot tubs often have little kids in them, especially in the evenings and on weekends. The tubs are small and some of the kids are very young. The other issue is loud music in the gym. It's not clear who wants it; almost every patron has earbuds on. But if you don't or are working out with a friend, it's really unpleasant. The place is popular, for good reasons, so it would be nice if these issues were addressed.

They are the kindest sweetest nicest people here and all they want to do is share their love of Yoga with the community at large. The drop in fees are cheap, very cheap. They have daily happy hour yoga for $5, and some days they have it twice. Just go to their website, which has the full schedule, lists bios of all the instructors, and gives the fee structure. I'm not a perfect yogi but feel comfortable here both with skilled yogis and beginners in most classes. Over the last 8 months I've practiced here several times a week. Many different practice options to choose from. Always kind thoughtful mostly skilled teachers who really love yoga. Julie is definitely a favorite of the community. Her classes are full. I've noticed her practice is never the same and she is in the zone while teaching. She's a hands on instructor always watching her students and encouraging us to give just a bit more as we use our breath to move. If your visiting you must attend her class as a treat to yourself. When an injury prevented me from continuing, she guided me to another teacher at the studio, Shawn where her mayo fascial class did more to repair my injuries than a year of physical therapy. It also gave me new hope for what was going to be possible for me in the future, including not needing a surgery. The studio is beautiful, very well run, and their online registration works flawlessly. The little shop in the studio is well curated too. I highly recommend Yoga Source. I don't know what I'd do without them!
