The security was also so kind and I chit chatted with them throughout my visit. This is one of those places that makes you feel patriotic without feeling political. His small studio on the 3rd floor of a brick row house right next to Cafe Saint Ex is as visually enticing as it is warm and inviting. It's also the perfect location to take a one-on-one art class - where you can learn about (and learn to create!) all different types of art! Miguel works with all mediums - from oil and encaustic to printing his own photography onto metal. A lot of his art pieces are for sale in his studio. He also does commissioned pieces, and recently created a 5 piece art installation for the front lobby of the "Church Place" condo building, located at 1520 16th St. NW, Wash DC. Miguel is also a very active member of DC's "Mid City Artists" collaborative, and regularly participates in their bi-annual Open Studios Tour. He's definitely an artist worthwhile checking out in DC!

I fell in love with the place the very second I saw it and even more after walking inside . There was a warm welcome from Asmara. She is always so welcoming and kind whenever I stop by . It was quiet enough to chill, but also have a discussion without it being awkward. There were a few folks there, working on their laptops, sipping their drinks and/or having a sandwich. I ordered the Butter Brown Toffee Iced Latte with oat milk and a splash of caramel. It was a10/10, with the perfect amount of coffee taste and a well-balanced sweetness. I had the turkey and havarti croissant sandwich. It came warmed with lettuce, tomato and pesto. It was pretty good and rather filling. If I'm in the area again, I'd definitely pop in for a coffee
