My wife was a patient here for almost three weeks, following a period of hospitalization. She…read moreneeded both nursing care and rehab. The rehab portion was ok....physical therapy and speech therapy...though the physical therapy was a bit brief. The nursing care left much to be desired. Using the call buttons was almost useless. I learned to just go to the nursing station for help, as it might be twenty or thirty minutes before anyone responded. This was largely because of understaffing, particularly on nights and weekends. Most of the nurses and other employees were very nice and caring. There simply were not enough of them on duty to fulfill the needs of patients. On several occasions when arriving to see my wife in the mornings I found her lying in bed with badly soiled undergarments. Obviously no one had checked on her for hours. On weekends nothing much happened, and there were only skeleton crews on duty. I was very disappointed in the care here. The facilities were very nice and neat, and I thought the food was satisfactory, but there is no excuse for having insufficient staffing to care for the needs of patients.

Upon calling after hours and leaving a voicemail where I stated my issue someone got back to me very promptly and rectified the issued in a satisfactory manner and were very polite about it. I received a phone call from my…read moredoctor about 7am saying I needed to go to the ER right then due to some abnormal lab results he was notified about. As soon as I got to the ER they took me to a room and the sweetest nurse, name Caroline, took control of my care and assured me I would be OK. Caroline was very gentle when she started my IV and she let me know everything about my care before she did anything. She was very patient with me especially and my family and answered all our questions about what was going on with me and what to expect. Hopefully this would explain some bad health issues I had been experiencing. Ip stay in the ER till about 3pm and everyone I came in contact with couldn't have been nicer. I felt very safe and well taken care of. I must admit I NEVER imagined that this would lead to being admitted to the hospital but it did.
