I almost never write any review on yelp but anna was so wonderful and i feel that it doesn't do her justice for how few reviews there are about her. Anna was our wedding photographer and everyone including our guests just love her. She was easy to communicate with, she was so detail and helped us to remember to take pictures with everyone we wanted to. Pictures turned out perfect and exactly the way i wanted . She captured so many happy faces and moments and my friends and I all enjoy looking at her pictures bringing back good memories. One other thing I love about Anna was that I had been caught up with other things for the wedding so I had almost never reached out to her after we booked her even before and after the wedding !! Anna captured the entire day, including our family and friends being themselves. She also captured the details beautifully, in a fairly challenging venue (on the water, changing weather). Anna Simonak is an absolute gem and exactly what I was looking for in a wedding photographer! Right off the bat, she quickly answered my email, request for pricing, and agreed to meet me at a convenient time and location to discuss the details of our wedding. She is so kind, patient, and flexible... we knew she'd be a perfect wallflower to capture all the big and small moments of our wedding day. My husband and I don't consider ourselves very photogenic, but she effortlessly captured our happiness and best expressions. Many of our favorite photographs were taken when I didn't even know she was snapping away - her shots are natural and candid and transport me right back to my favorite moments of the day. I also love how she edits her photos, using bold and crisp colors. Her pricing is super reasonable for the Seattle photography market, and we really appreciated that she gave us digital rights for all the photos she turned over to us. We didn't have to spend months deciding which 50-100 photos we liked best... which would have been impossible since there are so many great ones! She also did a great job giving us posing cues, keeping my wedding hair do pinned (she keeps bobbie pins in her camera holster! Genius!), and patiently wrangling our family members for family photos. I found Anna via internet search for local photographers. I planned our Auburn, NY wedding long distance and on a tight budget. Anna was THE most responsive wedding vendor we had--she promptly answered every question, concern, etc. She was also very budget friendly and flexible. However, it has been the beautiful quality of her work that really blew us away. We couldn't be happier with our wedding pictures--Anna is incredibly talented and captured our happiness, our familes' happiness, and our energetic dancing perfectly. We're so thrilled with our wedding photos. Anna did an absolutely amazing job. I found Anna through Yelp, and was surprised that her website said she'd been doing weddings for years, but there were only a handful of reviews. Turns out, she started her business in New York and recently moved to the Seattle area. We met with Anna several months before the wedding to get a chance to meet her before the big day. We had a comfortable conversation and she took notes on what we thought was important, the photos in her portfolio we liked (and why we liked them), and details about our wedding. I had my heart set on having a great photo of our trip down the church steps. I have black and white photos from the church steps from both sets of my grandparents' weddings, and I dream of having a frame with my photo in the middle. Well, mission accomplished. Anna suggested that we pause briefly about halfway down the stairs just to make certain we caught the (very short) moment of coming down the stairs. Turns out that wasn't even necessary, the three shots before we paused would all be perfect to frame with my grandparents' photos. (Truly, they're flawless). She also did an amazing job of doing some Photoshopping - no more lime green exit signs in the background of the church photos, no cars in the background of some outdoor shots, even no more man hanging out near the background of some of our photos from a park. Lastly, to summarize: I think every bride feels like her own wedding is perfect, but I'm willing to admit that Anna's photos of our big day capture a level of perfection that goes above and beyond... She somehow managed to keep the four chins that show up in most photos of me out of my wedding photos. And she was lovely to work with to boot. Highly, highly recommend. read more
