I found Hayley via yelp! I was looking for a wedding photographer that was local and I found her! Her website with her portfolio blew me away even before I met her. The first time meeting Hayley she went through everything and basically made us feel super comfortable. After my now husband and I decided we wanted to marry in Big Sur area, we began to search for photographers. After doing some searching on both instagram and google, I came across Hayley's page. After reviewing her blog and other wedding photo posts on her page - I was sold! Being that we wanted to marry in a very natural setting, I was immediately attracted to the style of photography that she typically shoots. I also couldn't get past how natural the couples looked in all of the photos. Being that I feel very awkward having my picture taken, and was leery of having our wedding pictures look like stock photos (lol), this also made me more inclined to use her services. Being that my husband and I live in Pittsburgh and we're traveling to California to marry, we had no idea where the best location would be in Big Sur area for a ceremony and photos. Hayley went above and beyond and offered to scope out a few sites for us. This was extremely helpful as there were some older people in our group that wouldn't be able to hike to some of the more hard to reach locations for a ceremony. Unfortunately, we had to change the location that we had originally selected due to road construction and related traffic on highway 1. The construction project was never announced so this was an inconvenience on us since it started just a few days ahead of our ceremony. We were fortunate to find another beautiful site that was less impacted by the traffic and Hayley was extremely accommodating and flexible with the location change - even though the change was made 3 days prior to our ceremony! Lastly- our wedding day. Everything went perfectly! Hayley was on time and completely professional. I can't say I've ever worked with a photographer before in an intimate type of setting, but I was very impressed. She was able to capture the ceremony beautifully. She captured my dad walking me towards my husband and his reaction of when he first saw me. When we took photos after the ceremony, she made me feel at ease and that allowed me to loosen up and be myself for the photos. And it totally shows. Not only do my husband and I look completely natural in the photos but you can also feel the love we have for one another just by looking at the pictures. Hayley joined us in Yosemite National Park for our destination wedding. She made the entire process easy. Leading up to the event, Yosemite was closed due to fire and she was quick to respond with her thoughts and other locations if needed. Fortunately, Yosemite opened back up and we were able to meet at sunrise (6am!) for photos. From the moment Hayley responded to my first email, I knew she was the right choice. She's warm, kind, passionate about her art and so incredibly talented. My husband and I had our anniversary photo session with Hayley, she is a charm person with good smile on her face all the time, we really enjoyed the photo session with her. Hayley gave me suggestion of locations for us to choice in initial contacts, after we picked Pigeon Point Lighthouse as the location we would like to shoot at, she researched and emailed me the details about the location. After she discovered there was a giant fence around the lighthouse, she offered to take pictures at one more location as back up, how nice she was! :-) It was very happy to take picture with her, at the day we shoot, she arrived the location early. She found great spots before we arrived, and she gave us directions how to get to the place, she was very patiently. It only took about 30 minutes to shoot at one location, she was fast to capture the great moments, we spent less than 1.5 hours include commute to the second location. We didn't have to be frozen in the strong wind and cold weather, you know the bad feeling of waiting photographer changing lens or so... but Hayley was fast, no need to worry about that! ;-) Hayley assumed the pictures will be ready in three weeks and she the pictures arrived at the 20th days, she is honest, nice, charm and easy to work with. We are so glad that we chose Hayley Anne Photography to be our wedding photographer. We found great reviews for her online (starting with A Practical Wedding) and e-mailed her for more information. She was very prompt in responding, getting us pricing and package information (working within our budget), and setting up a both a phone call and Skype interview. We felt very comfortable with her from the beginning. As we drew closer to the wedding, she made sure to check in with us and let us know what information she needed. She was always responsive to all our questions. On the day of the wedding, she showed up on time and ready to work right away. Hayley photographed our wedding at the Outdoor Art Club in Mill Valley in April 2019. We found Hayley on Google and were impressed with her eye for light and nature, and the unforced feeling in many of her images. She was a pleasure to deal with, answering our streams of questions leading up to the event and accommodating all our requests. I'm not someone who likes to be on camera, so I was nervous about being followed around by "paparazzi" all day. But Hayley was extremely gentle and unobtrusive, while getting all the right shots. She made maximum use of the redwood and garden setting, and the photos turned out beautifully. I would only change two things if I could: Ask her to take more couples photos so that there were more "perfect" ones (this has less to do with her and more with my perfectionism). And it would've been great if Hayley had been slightly more proactive with making sure the photos were set up properly (e.g. my husband forgot to button his suit for all the first look photos, not standing in the middle of the arch, etc.) Hayley turned around the photos ahead of schedule. And she sent a delightful and unexpected gift: prints of about a dozen of the photos, beautifully wrapped with lavender, plus a heart-shaped ornament with photos printed on it. Overall, Hayley was amazing, especially if you like a more hands-off, natural approach. read more

We were married at the City Hall in San Francisco and had never actually been there before; I had only seen the location in pictures, which is what attracted us to that venue from the start. Not only did Hayley capture the beauty of the building, but the lighting and locations for each picture were amazing. She was able to capture all that I had built up in my mind, after seeing beautiful photos on the internet. She is also familiar with the building, which was helpful.
