This place was so tasty! They made a great flat white coffee, but the avocado toast was amazing! It…read moreis a little higher priced, but totally worth it. It was more of an undone type of avocado toast with seasonings, poached eggs, tomatoes, and some sort of tangy butter or aioli, I'm not sure. It was just so pleasing to the eye and tasty! I did have much more avocado left, so I wished it had a bit more bread but it was still a good amount of food. I would recommend, it seemed to be a busy place with a few tables inside and some outside seating. Also a great spot on regent street next to other shops.

The staff have really fun and hopefully comfortable uniforms and are eager to help. The building is literally an old government building ( As per the name ) and it's beautifully renovated with large windows to take in the beautiful trees and scenery. Totally need to stop here if you're visiting. Probably my favorite meal and drinks so far!

Review for the bar: This place has the feel of a Speakeasy bar without the hidden entrance (love…read moreit!). The bar is well stocked with an abundance of options. Now for the food. The burger w onion jam has easily cracked my top 10 burgers of all time. I'm a burger connoisseur, have had them all over the world, so believe me, I know what I'm talking about. So much flavor! The same can be said about the fried chicken (they boast the best in Christchurch). Being originally from the south eastern United States, I can't speak to the fried chicken at OGB without trying it plain, but it's easily the best I've ever had with toppings. The maple bourbon glaze, the (chipotle?) drizzle and the deli sliced crinkle pickles compliment the dish. Whoever crafted the makeup of the burger and fried chicken really knows what they're doing. Staff is friendly and attentive. I can't speak to the dining room or any of the other items on the menu, but if burgers and fried chicken are something you appreciate, get ready to be grateful when you try them here. Kudos, OGB!
