My 10 year old Scottish Terrier had been diagnosed with cancer and it was my priority to preserve her wonderful disposition as best I could. I contacted Carina and explained what I wanted. She informed me of the available options, made suggestions, but she always listed to what I wanted. The session booking was a breeze; we coordinated via email and she graciously sent calendar reminders. I then decided to change the venue to Bluemont Winery, there was a nominal travel fee, however, she contacted the winery to verify there would be no issues with our session. The photo session lasted about 90 minutes and included both my furry companions as well as myself. There was no additional charge for the two additions. Carina was wonderful with my wacky and still energetic 11 year old Jack Russell. She was very patient even when he was constantly distracted and doing everything but looking at the camera. My Scottie was a breeze; she seemed completely at ease with Carina and the camera. The photos were available for review about a week later. Carina kept me informed and then coordinated with me as to when we would review them together. She also sent me a catalog of available products along with their pricing before I went to the review session so I would be well informed. She had wonderful samples of available frames, mat, and finishes. She also had an application that allowed me to see what the photos would look like in my home. She was extremely professional at all times, I never felt pressured to buy something I was not comfortable with. I was very delighted with the final products. She captured my Scotties eyes, the look in her eyes when she's happy. I have been unable to capture that in photos over the past 10 years. Carina has preserved a memory that I will always cherish and keep close to my heart. The photos of my wacky Jack Russell were also fantastic! I could not believe she was able to get anything other than a blurry whirl but did she ever! Whatever your reason for seeking a pet photographer, you will not find a better person than Carina. Carina is so very personable. The synergy that was generated between us with ideas during the shoot, editing photos, suggestions and options to choose from makes you feel so much of a part of these creations. When you collaborate with this modest artist you will see her amazing talent! She made our bichon look like a super model! The vision of what we wanted came true, only better! It came with 2 4x7, one 5x7, editing and digital photos. We were celebrating our little one first birthday. Out of all the back drop we went for the beach look just because he's a summer baby. They had a variety of props that went well! We decided to bring our own beach chair and beach towel including a mini cake. The photos turned out great! For $121, I saved myself $500-$700. Hassle free from too many demands and location meet up that can cost extra. Addition to this, they provide a ready room and for babies, they have a changing pad with supplies. Sara was so sweet and even before the appointment wanted to know all about Ella (my pup) and what I wanted out of the session. Ella is normally stand-offish with new people, but she took to Sara right off the bat. She even brought along special treats for Ella (who is allergic to chicken) which I really thought was super thoughtful to take into account my pup's food allergy. The worst part of the process was deciding which and how many of the beautiful photographs to order because they all were fantastic. Sara truly has a gift, both in photography and with animals. She came right on time and set everything and brought lots of extra props and accessories for us to use. Shooting dogs and kids can't be easy, but she was great with them and we got some amazing shots. Since we were using the photos for our holiday cards, she turned everything around very quickly and the pictures were absolutely beautiful and their personalities were all shining through in each shot.
