I've not had Anne for my wedding photography but I wanted to comment on something she did for a dear friend of mine. One of my friends who was a newly wed with a small baby was diagnosed with cancer. I mentioned this friend to Anne casually one day and she out of the blue offered to take some photos of the family free of charge. I passed along the info to my friend and Anne arranged a reasonable number of photos of my friend and her family before the chemo started. My friends and their family received wonderful photos that Anne put care and attention to. She arranged to meet the family at the hospital and improvised wonderful portraits. She did this out of her own personal integrity as she had no financial gain to do so. I'm deeply impressed not only with her care and attention to detail but that she did this with no financial incentive. If she'll work that hard for someone as an act of love, I can only imagine how most of her paying clients are tended to. I've nothing but gratitude and good things to say. Thank you Anne. read more

Established in 2008.

Anne Marie Carson is an Austin, Texas and Indianapolis, Indiana wedding and portrait photographer. My approach to photographing weddings is to observe and capture images that may otherwise be missed or forgotten while you are in the moment. I see my camera as an extension of myself and making pictures as an opportunity to capture both seldom and often seen aspects of others. Some of my most valued objects are old photographs of my family - some that I am in, some that I have photographed, some captured long before my parents met. My goal is to create portraits that will be beautiful hanging your family's walls today and for many generations to come - still showing you as you are. I have photographed more than 160 weddings and many families and couples portraits. I would love to get to know you and hear your story, so please get in touch!

The other side of the lady behind the camera (and computer): I'm the mother of a beautiful 10-year-old girl, wife to one fabulous man, and caretaker to a dog who loves herding chickens and a cat who thinks he's a dog. We are very involved in the local food and farming community; and keep chickens, bees, fish, and a huge organic garden. Hey you ! Kaylee took pictures of my baby girl for her…read morefirst birthday, a Smashcake session. She had several backdrops and settings ready so that we could get a variety of photos. She also has a few extra things just in case, for examples, props, crowns, a few outfits, balloons, and a little cake stand were a few of the items I noticed. The shoot lasted 20-30 minutes. She was very good with my little one. She was able to get her attention, quick to get good shots, and went with the flow. She uploaded a little sneak peak before all of the photos were ready so that we could get a glimpse. It was a great experience and I will likely come back again for future photos. The Under The Sun Photography is located on Madison between Greenwood and Southport. I was able to have our phots taken on a week night. I believe I found her studio on Facebook and was able to book and pay online. I've added a few photos from the shoot

I hired Anne to shoot my engagement photos and I could not be more pleased with her work!!! Anne corresponded with me before the shoot took place and, trust me, I had a definite idea in mind of exactly how I wanted the photos to look. She listened to all of my ideas and really made my vision of "woodland chic" come together. My fiance was not super-excited about having his picture taken (as with nearly any guy), but he and Anne got along famously! I ordered a CD of edited photos (I do alot of graphic editing work at my job) and I was beyond pleased with how our photo shoot turned out. There is not one photo on the CD that I would consider a "throwaway." I liked the pictures so much that I had several of the photos turned into custom "thank you" cards to send out after our wedding. I would and have recommended Anne's photography services to friends. She is very nice, professional, and extremely talented - she has earned RAVE reviews in my book!!!! read more

I am that friend who was diagnosed with metastasized breast cancer. At the time with a diagnosis of 6 months or less likely to live, I received this offer out of the blue to have some family portraits taken under the reason of Anne wanting more practice with newborn photography, since she does mostly weddings. I really wanted my children and family to have pictures of me and us in case the worst happened, so accepted the generous offer. The pictures turned out so well that we have attempted to compensate her for them monetarily even though it was a gift from the heart, as she has a rare and amazing skill at capturing beautiful family moments. I strongly recommend Anne Carson for your wedding, baby, or family photograph needs. And for those interested, the chemotherapy has been a strong success and I have a much better chance of spending several years enjoying Ms. Carson's work upon my walls and on my screen. read more
