I had souvlakia and it tasted delicious: my family is half Greek and I lived and travelled extensively in Greece myself so I know my way about Greek food. The service was attentive and courteous thanks to the Italian waiter who made sure we were well taken care of without being invadent. I would definitely come to eat here again next time I am in Duesseldorf.

Ich habe es der Besitzerin gesagt, sie hat sich entschuldigt und bestätigt, dass der Koch einen neuen Fisch zubereiten wird. Als ich mit dem Essen begann, stellte ich fest, dass es derselbe Fisch mit der scharfen Soße war. Ich habe mich beschwert, dass dies nicht akzeptabel war. Als wir nach draußen zum Parkplatz gingen, folgte uns ihr Bruder Claudio und fing an zu schreien, dass wir diese Beschwerde nicht vor den anderen Gästen machen können. Sein Verhalten war sehr unhöflich.

But in order to remain objective, I will give it 3. Although the cook is Spanish, the menu is everything but Spanish. I would advise them to cut the amount of dishes. Offer less dishes, but improve the quality. There is still a lot to be done for quality here. Whatever you try, do not try the paella, it'S a waste of time and an insult to Spanish cuisine. The spare rips are never available, I don't even know why they bother to have them on the menu. The place is nice, surrounded by the forrest and if the weather allows it, it is great to sit outside. I always have a great time there.

The service was really poor, ignoring our table for about 20 minutes and not reacting to hand signals or anything (the place was not very well crowded btw). After we finally ordered, the waiter didn't come back for another 30 minutes. So about an hour after our arrival we finally got our food, and another five minutes later we finally got our drinks. Oh yes, the food... let me just say: My wife's soup was cold and had a hair in it, my steak (aka Senfrostbraten) was stringy as hell. The waiter, another waitress and the operator did not care about our complaints and eben refused to make out a receipt. We left and found another really nice place nearby where we were told that our experience at Zille was not uncommon.

My salami, onion and mushroom pizza tasted very fresh and was nicer than I expected. Washed the pizza down with some Pinot Grigio while discussing who the mysterious kissing couple in a lot of the interior photos were. Best guess An Italian filmstar couple that we have never heard of.
