I reached out to Dr. Walker due to my acne. It's been something I've been battling with since I was an adolescent and I was dealing with a flare up. Dr. Walker's office was great in setting up appointments for me. In addition, it was great that she handled telemedicine so I could take the meetings right from my home. She prescribed the right Rx treatment for me. And honestly, as a doctor who is a person of color and the AAPI community, it felt really great that she understood my needs and had expertise on the impacts of the treatment to my skin. I felt seen! While waiting for the doctor, I overheard her and staff gossiping about me outside the door. I waited 45 minutes only to be talked to in a condescending matter. When you call his office (during office hours) someone picks up on the first or second ring. When you arrive you are given the most minimum paperwork which is a huge relief. He's always on time and you are never kept waiting. Most doctors talk to you while staring at your chart or typing into a computer and barely look at you. Dr. Huie gives direct eye contact right away and is present with you the entire time. You get his full attention. He asks enough questions but doesn't pester you with irrelevant ones. He gets quickly to his suggestion and doesn't overly explain things once you get it. He has a great network of folks he refers you do and somehow even has their phone numbers memorized. The office sends you easy to understand bills and is easy to work with. Doctors like these are a dying breed. I hope he never retires.

Very poor service, waited on hold 15 min to be routed away from the office. Rep didn't know why an ofc visit was mandated for a flu/ covid shot nor how much that office visit would cost (shots should be covered) nor the code I could share when I make another call to insurance to find out. Then he offered to route me back and I asked he stay on the line. He did not and then after another 7 min the held call dropped. Crazy... Guess I'll go to CVS... Boo...it used to be such a nice office with great care.
