My girls have been enrolled in Artistico for a few months now mostly doing ballet and tap...the sort of dance they primarily enjoy doing. Now they're showing interest in Hip Hop, Contemporary AND Salsa! The fact that they are willing to even try these new things tells me that it must be coming from their teachers. I think it's brilliant that kids especially can be motivated to get out of their comfort zone and try new dance moves. Heck, learning a variety of dance styles has to be better than staying glued to a devices during their down time yeah!? With all the brainrot type of scenes that our tweens and teens are getting into, this place is a safe, clean space for our young children to flourish in their dancing. There is a positive energy and there isn't that "I'm being super cool/flashy" vibes that you would typically find at a regular dance studio. Kids are in regular t-shirts, the music is clean, the instructors are super good at what they do and very encouraging. The kids LOVE coming here. This place is a gem! My friend recommended me and me being decisive, I thought why not the class schedule works so let's give it a try. I'm glad I did!! My son LOVES it and within 3 min of starting the class, he had a big smile on his face and he can't wait to go back to the class. The best thing about the studio is the teacher, Rev. He runs the studio, teach, he is funny, great with kids and he make them feel so welcome. That is so important especially for kids, first they have to love it to want to continue it! Also in case any other moms, dads and caregivers care like I did - it's hip hop, and he picks the songs which are age appropriate :) This December they organized a holiday performance and that was fun. Many pop ups and kids shop & dance. He was running a show all by himself- unless I knew there was someone else - and never losing a smile on his face and greet everyone who came. It was truly a joy to watch and to cheer for all the dancers, each with their own special spark, lighting up the stage. It was equally touching to witness, throughout year and at the show, the beauty of the friendships that have developed and the sense of community that is palpable among the dancers and teachers at Fifth Row. As a parent, when I sign my children up for activities, I look for organizations, teachers and mentors that believe in nurturing the whole child and fostering a joyful and inclusive learning environment. I loved the Reiki Movement class I took on Sunday evening…read more Erin was a very welcoming instructor. She started off by going around and giving everyone individual Reiki. I felt the heat in her hands and even teared up a couple times. She then led a meditation journey which helped me get in my body. Even though I'm definitely not a dancer by any means, I didn't feel self-conscious and I thought the build-up in technique was slow and natural. As a beginner I felt comfortable and enjoyed the whole experience.

I can always tell when I social dance with someone who learned from Lindy By The Sea because of their stellar dance etiquette. You do not need a partner and they make learning fun. There is a reason I keep coming back for more. I have learned techniques (not just moves) that make me a better follow. I am now learning how to lead. This place has certainly changed my life and is the highlight of my week.
