Was dropped after 2 at-fault accidents within a renewal period (clean record for 8 years prior), which is fine and totally within their right... had State Farm or Steve given me any notice. I realized a week after my renewal should have processed that State Farm hadn't collected payment and checking within their app, I had no active insurance policy. I called customer support to find that I had been not renewed and therefore my car insurance had lapsed. No warning. I had no phone call, text, email, snail mail... no communication from Steve or State Farm regarding being dropped. Cowardly behavior on their part, which has now caused me to become high-risk from a lapse in policy. My rate went from $135 per month to $700+ from sketchy insurance companies, which is not feasible for anyone. Don't let the State Farm "family" branding lull you into a false sense of security, you won't be given the decency of notice when dropped and it will ruin your ability to get car insurance. +1 star for office being kind as I went through the horrific trauma of a major car accident.

Their quote with Erie insurance was competitive, and I liked the coverage and policy more than the competition. To date, I have not had to file a claim, so I can't speak to that process.
