But yes, I was dragging my feet. I'd say Matt was just as bad as the ex. If you want to pay for your ex to have a second lawyer, Matt's your guy. Unfortunately, I left the consultation without receiving any meaningful guidance on that topic or on my overall financial situation. What made the experience more disappointing was that I later had a consultation with another bankruptcy firm that lasted about 45 minutes. They took the time to understand my circumstances, explain my options, and answer questions I didn't even know to ask. The difference was night and day. When I requested a refund, it was denied.
