It was my first time in Barcelona so I was looking for a hair salon to get a wash & blow dry. I loved how I could book my appointment online and it listed all the services available. I booked the scalp massage/hair treatment & blow dry. The scalp massage was heavenly and the blow dry experience was so peaceful. I'm so happy I found this place, the blow out stayed perfect for like 10 days. I definitely recommend it! read more

In the States, I've had the same hair dresser for 20 years and she does highlights and lowlights and color and I don't know what else....I just trust her and she makes my hair look great. She was kind enough to text me the color numbers she uses on my hair and I was lucky enough to find Sophie, a Brit now living in Spain, who works at Anthony Llobet in Eixample. She took the numbers and colored my hair and gave me a fantastic cut and I couldn't have been more pleased. I've been to her twice now and highly recommend her. read more

Anthony hairdressers are my go to when in Barcelona! I always leave very happy. I have extensions and Anthony has no problem with my complicated hair. I have the extensions added again while I have been here in Barcelona and a fine job it was too. I feel like it might even be worth it to fly from the UK to get my hair done as the prices are much better than the UK. Great communication, the staff are inviting and very capable. Not sure what these other reviewers are writing about so negatively, so here's the straight dope: This is the best (chain of) salons around town & I just happen to go to the Gracia salon. Anthony has grown a fantastic team, and if there is an issue, then his team will resolve it. For me, there is nothing quite like the comfort of being able to bring in a picture of what I am looking to do with my hair and have someone actually interpret what goes well with my face shape and coloring. I think sometimes people have unrealistic expectations (no one will look like the model - you will look like YOU but with cut/colro...!). It's best to use pictures and have a discussion w your hairdresser. Thats what I love about this place and the team here. Very participatory. It's not the cheapest chain of salons in town, that's for sure. But you get what you pay for! I always look amazing when I leave here, and my color and cut really last - the sign of quality. My go-to place for being gorgeous, and worth every penny!! read more

I went to my reserved appointment and found only closed doors. Nobody was there and I waited 15 mins in case somebody would show up, but no. I contacted them over email and their social media. I then passed the store some days later and found an employee working. She blamed her colleague right away and could not even look me in the eyes. Only when I was 90% out of the store, she threw a "sorry" after me. The founder had contacted me a few days later replying to my emaiI and he said he'd give my number to the person who runs that salon and that he will contact me that same day. That person again did not message me after waiting the day, so I told the founder that I'll proceed to look for another salon. he apologized and I felt that he was very sorry, nevertheless the customer service is so bad in Spain and so unprofessional, I want to share this experience in hopes that companies would start to coach their employees in these situations better. Even though this all was annoying and disappointing to me, i think that you can always try to make things up by reacting in a professional manner and keeping your promises. So I really hope they will take this feedback seriously. read more

Ondra from Anthony Llobet Born is magic! I wanted to go icy cold blond on a short asymmetric cut. Not only he created an amazingly stylish haircut for me (a-la Kate Lanphear), the color came out perfect: not yellow, not orange -- impeccable silver blond. Ondra spent 3 hours with me perfecting every detail. And then, he spent even more time explained how to take care and stylish my haircut at home. This is my second time with Ondra and I just booked another appointment with him. He is a professional with many years of experience. I also like his sense of style and how he knows how to adopt a particular cut to fit your features. Overall the salon is a warm welcoming place. I have an outgrowth balayage and I wanted to blend it in and darken it. €120 later my hair looks just awful as it to start with.

Super disappointed with this place! I've been here twice to trim my hair, and yesterday was not a good experience at all. I called to ask if he could fit me in, and he said he could. To be completely honest, it was a half job done. I have a really easy haircut, all one length with a couple of layers at front. He decided to cut my hair dry saying that it was easier and for the sake of time. He didn't even do the parting of my hair correctly, which makes the layers look uneven from the front even a friend of mine noticed it! He then decided to wash my hair, and put shampoo only once (every salon usually shampoos twice), and without any conditioner! I guess again for the sake of time. I paid 33 euros for that and im not even closely satisfied. Im actually going somewhere else to fix the layers because of it. I would've rather gotten an appointment on another day instead of being rushed with not even half a job done. not recommended! read more

I had the one of the worse experiences at this salon EVER, they claim to be hair extensions specialists and this is further from the truth!! Not only were the extensions the worse quality I have ever had but they refused to refund me my money back, nor did they even want to do anything to solve my problem except send the extensions back to the distributor, but there was no guarantee that I was going to get any money back. I spent 430 euros for this poor product, so to me, this was a total waste of my money. The only person that tried to help out was Fran, I would recommend him to anyone, but as for the owner and manager, they have no client service skills. Very disappointing!! read more

Best haircut and color of my life with Tony!! A true hair artist

I had an amazing experience here. I am a blonde (highlight my hair) and have been going to the same lady for 7 years. Needless to say, when I left to study abroad I was nervous about my next hair appointment. Jay was great - he listened to my concerns but also had a vision for what would look good and really just understood what I wanted. I don't use bleach at all which wasn't a problem. He honestly made my hair better by even adding some low lights. Either way - HIGHLY recommend. Also there was no language barrier, and extremely affordable! read more

I have always heard (and seen) the Anthony Llobet Salons around Barcelona but had never been, the past week my hair was in desperate need of a cut so I passed their Gracia Salon and on the off chance got an appointment, the salon style is fantastic and my stylist, from italy if I remember correctly, was greast, I love it when a stylist takes initiative especially when you are unsure of what exactly you are looking for, and for me this was the case. This is my first Yelp review, but I really wanted to take the effort and give an English review for Anthony Llobet salons in Barcelona. As an Anglophone student who had been living in Barcelona on exchange for 8 months, I knew the time was ticking until I was due for a haircut. I also noticed that as the Spanish sun had made me more tan than ever before, my natural hair colour just wasn't doing me justice. The thought of someone taking scissors to my hair not fully understanding my communication though, just worried me. When I heard about Anthony's salons, I sucked it up, made an appointment at the Gracia location and walked in with an open mind. I gave full control to Jay, my hairdresser, and he did an incredible job. Cut, highlight/ombre and blow dry - I literally have never been happier walking out. I received endless compliments, and it made all the difference for the rest of my time there.The staff are amazing, I always saw Anthony riding around his bike in the neighbourhood coming in to see his clients and team at various locations around Barcelona. Now that I'm back to Canada, I find myself missing the city but definitely this hair salon as well! read more

My 18 year old daughter paid 313 euro for hair straightening (280 euro) and a cut (33 euro). A completely inexperienced person did the straightening under minor supervision. Hair cut in front out of line with that in back. Don't go if you are a young inexperienced person shy to speak up. Seems like you are taken for granted and receive no service. I did speak with representatives afterwords who communicated well and sent me an itemization of the charges. read more

On the whole I was happy with my cut, only when I got home I realised that my fringe had been cut straight without texture, so I went straight back to ask if texture could be added. It was a small alteration, and something that I would have expected to have been done on my first visit considering the pictures I had shown. Having paid full-price for the cut a couple of days before, I was surprised to be charged €6 the correction. Won't be returning to recommending. read more
