Ohhh my gosh, this store is an architect's dream! It's truly a destination in itself. And on Queen West, there are so many stores, but this one definitely stands out. Aside from the aesthetic, here are three things I especially love about Anthropologie: 1) They are dog-friendly! I've never been in a single Anthro that doesn't let you bring in your pup 2) There's always a substantial sale section with significant markdowns 3) Their returns policy is incredible. Even if you order something online and you completely forget about it for a year, you can return it as long as you have the order number-- I don't even know if there's a deadline for you to bring it back! read more

If you could distill the essence of Anthropologie into one store it would be this location on Queen St in Toronto. Housed in a old church, it's perfectly rustic and fancy at the same time. The beautiful architecture marries with the Anthro aesthetic perfectly. Lovely selection, particularly the housewares department. Was just a bit disappointed in the clothing department. I guess for such a large, lovely space I was expecting a bit more stock. It's not lacking by any stretch, but I've seen other stores pack in more in a smaller footprint, like shoes and such. But it's still an exceptionally beautiful store that was a pleasure to stroll and browse in. Oh, I was also able to find a replacement mug identical to my favorite mug that was chipped in a vigorous washing session by my husband. And for that, I am forever grateful. read more

This particular Anthropologie location is quite breath taking... it's in an old converted church or at least some sort of old house of worship. With it's huge open cavernous room, you have beautiful stain glass windows allowing enough light to shine on the many clothes and cute house items. Anthro usually does a great job with displaying their clothes to catch your eye and this is not different. If anything, I find the grand space a perfect back drop to the many clothes you can choose from. Right now, they're showing spring and summer wear with lots of bold colours and pretty prints. I would say the style is upscale bohemian with a price tag to match. Because they have so much space, nothing is crowded ... at all. You could spin around and not touch a single rack or person. You might get stares but that's whole different story. Service here is polite and sometimes a bit hard to find but once you do find someone, they're happy to help. You have to try something on because the change rooms are just incredible. They're upstairs in a grand huge space and the rooms is as big as a master walk in closet. There is a long walk way to the shared mirror so if you want to try your best runway walk, go for it. Though it's one of the nicest stores in Toronto for Anthro, I didnt find all of the items online in here for some reason. I saw more of the nicer items online and found more of their casual and holiday wear here. Perhaps they'll bring more in but I did find it odd seeing how they have triple the size of most other stores. Toronto has a lot of shorties.. we need the petite section! read more

This is the 31st Anthropologie store that I've visited and I haven't even been to the one in Oakville or Yorkdale. Most of the time Anthro for me is a quick B-Line to the couch which is usually found within a reasonable amount of time. Today I came without my wife but she's no stranger to this store. I came because it's for her sister's secret Santa gift. I didn't give it away unless she reads this but she knows what she wants anyway. I've been to enough of these stores to know what's the norm and what's not. This store is a coverted house of worship to another house of worship but this time for products of Anthropologie. The structure is nice to say the least and with a high ceiling and all that architecture thing going on this store will get 4* instead of the usual 3*. After coming to this store still to this day the nicest looking store on the inside is probably still the Rittenhouse Square location in Philadelphia. This is easily a close 2nd however and probably first if you include the inside and out. This is now the 5th Anthro in the GTA (Don Mills, Yorkville, Yorkdale, Queen W, Oakville). read more

I love this Anthropologie store for two great reasons! 1. It's a great location. Despite being a chain retailer, this particular location is along a very nice street of great independent boutiques. You can get a lot of shopping done here as its a fairly dense shopping district. 2. It's a really lovely store. It's got these great big oak doors at the front to welcome you inside, and like all Anthropologie store there's a huge amount of effort put into the interior designs and merchandising. With two stories in this building you're guaranteed a great selection of items to shop. read more

I love Anthropologie so much. I stared at the Yelp stars for a long time before beginning to pen this, and though five stars for a chain isn't normally my style, I just can't help myself. Like many a girl who once pined for Urban Outfitters goodies, I have grown into a lady who drops serious chunks of change at Anthro. This location is my favourite Anthropologie in the world, and I've dipped my toe in many. Rockefeller Centre, Beverly Hills, Yorkville, they've got nothing on this wonderful Queen W location. Housed in an old church, with every corner filled of nearly their entire online catalogue (minus the Petites, bring on the Petites!), if you like Anthro you'll love this location. read more

Many have experienced Anthropologie in limited stores in Canada, and in the U.S. Well, this location opened blocks from my home, and I finally went in...what a surprise! If you enjoy Anthropologie, I highly suggest that you go into this store, at least just for the experience, the next time you're in Queen West. PROS: - Wonderful shopping experience - high ceilings, bright, open spaces, well-stocked, roomy, organized, large, etc. - In addition to the above, the staff were very friendly, en pointe. The girl in the Fitting Room area that day was not only trendy (a great to trait to have if you want to be able to ask staff for their honest opinion, which I did), but was aware of people coming in and out, and kept the line moving. She apologized for the delay in wait time, and checked in to ensure that things were going well - When paying, the girl advised that since I was a "member", if I wanted to return something, I would not need a receipt. CONS: - Does not carry Petites in-store Anthropologie, you have done it right. You hired and trained quality individuals with a smile, you have a great selection, and the membership with birthday month discount is a nice touch. This is truly a beautiful store. It's true that I didn't buy anything, but I completely appreciated the displays. And the prices weren't as outrageous as I thought they'd be. Granted I was mostly scouting out the sale racks. $39.99 for a cotton blend squirrel print shirt? Not unreasonable. I will be back. read more

I love this Anthropologie location. I've never bought anything from here because it is way too expensive, but I love browsing- especially at the home section. The candles smell delicious and are always in the cutest little tins. The layout is very open and organized- not chaotic at all. Also, it's in an old church with hardwood floors and brick- super cool. read more

This store is the most beautiful Anthropologie store that I have ever been - and I have been to a lot! It is located in an old church and it is unbelievably open and airy while also having cute little nooks here and there. The thing that is the real selling point of this location is the sheer amount of individual items they have! Usually when I go to Anthropologie there are a number of things that are online but not in store. Maybe not in other locations, because this one had EVERYTHING. I was very impressed. They had shirts that I could not find at other locations and had every size available. I really love this location and will probably go more than the Yorkville location, which is now underwhelming by compare! read more
