This was a pleasant surprise for me while arriving in Florence!! Our driver dropped us off at our…read morehotel and he casually mentioned that this perfume shop was the same one filmed in the movie "Hannibal" . Say less... ...made my way over to the shop and walked around four or five times before approaching the nice ladies behind the fragrance bar. Told her what scents I liked and she picked out three for me. The one I bought she put in my arm and told me to walk around and sniff it for a bit and then come back. I did just that and bought the big bottle. It was worth every euro that I paid for it! Good thing is that they do have an online store and will ship to the US!! I plan to buy another bottle just so I have a back up!

We waited in line for a few minutes outside before we could enter and I actually appreciate how the staff does this because it really ensures you have a perfect shopping experience.. I don't know the history of the building but once you step inside there are a couple of small ballroom size rooms with tables displaying different perfumes and products.. they have a separate cashier room towards the back where we tell them everything you'd like and they collect it for you there . I didn't buy too many things but the saleswoman was still very friendly and courteous. I will treasure every item I bought and would love to go back !

Ok yeah fragrances and flowery soaps isn't my thing at all. LOL. But members of my party wanted…read moreto visit and as an indifferent bystander perusing the merch, and the truly beautiful store to be honest, one of the super friendly sales people, Alberto took notice and we had some friendly conversation. Alberto didn't care that I wasn't the target customer, but he was very knowledgeable and took some time to educate me on some fragrances that were pretty interesting. He really couldn't have been more friendly, even after we said we weren't going to buy anything right away, we had a scheduled time to scale the bell tower and had to run. But his good nature was one reason we did return and make a purchase. :-) I like returning kindness with kindness. Kinda like when I return the favor for Yelp likes! Hehe. *wink, wink* Anyway, if you are into fragrances and flowery soap, I'd say visit this truly beautiful Aqua Flor store (The scent from the store permeates the air before you even walk in) and seek out my buddy Alberto. I am sure he'll take care of you 110% and have a few ideas for dinner in Florence too!

She was not only rude to me she was rude in general and had no remorse about it. She seemed to be too busy speaking to her coworker and not very helpful or interested to help us in learning more about Aqua Flor. I did mention this to her manager, who was lovely and helped us finish our purchase. I honestly would have purchased so much more if she would have even tried to help us, but she seemed to not really want to deal with anybody since she wouldn't help anybody whatsoever. Thankfully we were in there a few days earlier and knew exactly what we needed. Unfortunately, I will not walk into this boutique. I have lived in Florence for many years and I have never encountered such a rude person. Especially in a fine boutique perfumery... every year traveling to Europe I definitely bring home plenty of perfume. Unfortunately she made this experience unpleasant. It's too bad because it's a lovely boutique too lovely for a rude immature, unprofessional sales person like Francesca. You can't miss her - tall, dark haired young thin woman, speaks like an American she is incredibly quick to judge and be disrespectful. Do yourself a favor Aqua Flor find yourself a better sales person for your lovely boutique that deserves better! I would give one star only, but since the manager was so amazing and so kind, I didn't want to do that to him, but really she does kill the experience in this particular perfumery that is legendary in Firenze.

It's a tiny shop, very packed, highly touristy, and hard to get around but they sure have a bunch of options for handmade soaps, creams, parfums, and even additional items like brushes and combs. I see a bunch of people go crazy over this soap and fragrances, and it appears to be perfect for people who don't have allergies and can put any typical skincare chemicals on their skin. The best thing about this store, for me, was the staff. This woman went all over the store looking through ingredients to find the right chemical-free soap for me. The only one we found was on a shelf that was labeled 'organic all natural olive oil soap' without an ingredient list sticker on the soap like all the others so we took a chance and assumed it was chemical-free and natural. When I got home to use the soap, I thought it was the right choice because it didn't lather much, which I'm used to with my soaps. But once I started to wash my body with it, my skin was irritated and burned. They don't label all of their soaps and some of them lack ingredient labels. I think these soaps can work for many other people and they have a huge selection of soaps, creams, lotions, with wonderful parfum scents. If you have sensitive skin and are looking for REAL all natural soap without all those added chemicals (dimethicone, phenoxanol, methyl parabens, sodium laurel sulfate, etc.) this is NOT the place for you. It's easy for me to find it in the States, but I guess not here. My search continues! My advice for shoppers: know your skin and check ingredients. If there are no ingredients, skip it! My advice to the store: clearly label ALL products with ALL ingredients to save the customers the mystery and disappointment.
