He really couldn't have been more friendly, even after we said we weren't going to buy anything right away, we had a scheduled time to scale the bell tower and had to run. But his good nature was one reason we did return and make a purchase. :-) I like returning kindness with kindness. Kinda like when I return the favor for Yelp likes! I honestly would have purchased so much more if she would have even tried to help us, but she seemed to not really want to deal with anybody since she wouldn't help anybody whatsoever. Thankfully we were in there a few days earlier and knew exactly what we needed. Unfortunately, I will not walk into this boutique. I have lived in Florence for many years and I have never encountered such a rude person. Especially in a fine boutique perfumery... every year traveling to Europe I definitely bring home plenty of perfume. Unfortunately she made this experience unpleasant. It's too bad because it's a lovely boutique too lovely for a rude immature, unprofessional sales person like Francesca. You can't miss her - tall, dark haired young thin woman, speaks like an American she is incredibly quick to judge and be disrespectful. I have sensitive skin so I've been looking all over Florence for handmade soap that's all…read morenatural/vegan/organic with no parfum, no parabens, sulfates, or chemicals ending in 'cones'... didn't quite happen. It's a tiny shop, very packed, highly touristy, and hard to get around but they sure have a bunch of options for handmade soaps, creams, parfums, and even additional items like brushes and combs. I see a bunch of people go crazy over this soap and fragrances, and it appears to be perfect for people who don't have allergies and can put any typical skincare chemicals on their skin. The best thing about this store, for me, was the staff. This woman went all over the store looking through ingredients to find the right chemical-free soap for me. The only one we found was on a shelf that was labeled 'organic all natural olive oil soap' without an ingredient list sticker on the soap like all the others so we took a chance and assumed it was chemical-free and natural. When I got home to use the soap, I thought it was the right choice because it didn't lather much, which I'm used to with my soaps. But once I started to wash my body with it, my skin was irritated and burned. They don't label all of their soaps and some of them lack ingredient labels. I think these soaps can work for many other people and they have a huge selection of soaps, creams, lotions, with wonderful parfum scents. If you have sensitive skin and are looking for REAL all natural soap without all those added chemicals (dimethicone, phenoxanol, methyl parabens, sodium laurel sulfate, etc.) this is NOT the place for you. It's easy for me to find it in the States, but I guess not here. My search continues! My advice for shoppers: know your skin and check ingredients. If there are no ingredients, skip it! My advice to the store: clearly label ALL products with ALL ingredients to save the customers the mystery and disappointment.

My daughter tried a lipgloss on her hand thinking it was a tester and they harrassed us because they said it was not a tester. It was an opened box on the display so she honestly thought it was! We tried to explain that she thought it was a tester and they made a big scene and embarrassed us until we purchased it.....for $20. Also the workers laughed at us and mocked us in Italian from behind the counter as we tried talking to a manager (after we were forced to buy something that had already been opened by someone else!!!) It was terrible experience and very upsetting to my girls to be taken advantage of as tourists and we will never again shop at Sephora!!!

1 star -- Absolutely terrible experience. DO NOT GO THERE…read more Our experience at Mustermann was absolutely awful from the moment we walked through the door. The elderly female employee and a man with light-colored eyes were incredibly arrogant, rude, hostile, and disrespectful. We were treated as if we were bothering them simply by being there. My daughter merely touched a piece of paper with information about the perfumes and the elderly employee shouted at her. There was absolutely no reason for such an aggressive reaction toward a child. Things became even worse when we were about to pay for a perfume. The elderly employee held the card machine through the glass so my husband could tap his card. The contactless payment did not work, so he picked up the machine to insert his card and enter his PIN privately -- something completely normal and routine for customers in France and throughout Europe. The woman suddenly became extremely aggressive and started shouting at him, demanding that he immediately return the machine and using very harsh, disrespectful language. The man with the light-colored eyes was also part of this hostile and unpleasant atmosphere. There was absolutely no justification for screaming at a customer who was literally trying to PAY for a purchase. At that moment, I refused to buy the perfume. Why would anyone spend money in a place where customers are treated with such arrogance and aggression? We spend our summer holidays in Florence every year. We collect perfumes and have a genuine passion for fine perfumery. We have visited many wonderful, historic perfume houses in Florence and have always appreciated the products, the atmosphere, and the professionalism of the people working there. Mustermann was the complete opposite. I strongly recommend reading the Google reviews before going there. You will see that our experience is far from unique. There are numerous comments describing rude, arrogant, unpleasant, and hostile treatment. It is shocking that a business working with tourists and customers can maintain this kind of attitude. It genuinely felt as though customers were being treated like pieces of trash, rather than welcomed into a historic perfumery. Children are clearly not welcome. Tourists are clearly not welcome. And basic courtesy and respect seem to be optional. The atmosphere was terrible, the energy of the place was extremely unpleasant, and the behavior of these employees was completely unacceptable. Florence has so many beautiful and historic perfumeries where you can have a wonderful experience and be treated with kindness and respect. DO NOT GO TO MUSTERMANN. Read the reviews (GOOGLE) first and save yourself the unpleasant experience. We certainly will never return.

I have never purchased better quality products, her Calendula cream is sublime and works wonders on my skin. Her shop is full of wonders and excellent gifts too. In a perfect location, this is my go-to spot that I drop in first whenever I am in Florence to stock up on all my favorite creams, custom made treatments, bath gels and essential body oils. My good friends from Germany and the Philippines also do the same every time they are in Florence, this pharmacy is a treasure and should not be missed.

He will also do custom scents if you can afford it. Many of his fragrances are unisex, but for men my favorites of his are the peppery Piper Nigrum (a signature of mine) and the classic Uomo. Yerbamate -- creamy, green -- smells so nice on my wife. If you are ever in the city, be sure to pick up at least a bottle or two. They run about $120 for a 3.4 oz bottle right now, but are well worth the price tag.

When I arrived they were already 20 minutes late, the girl who was attending me was constantly interrupting her work to check on her colleague, and she went back without even apologizing. He assured me that I would be out in an hour and between the delay and the slowness, I was there for 1 hour and 45 minutes. The products used are the ones everyone uses, nothing special and a poorly done and sloppy job. Exaggerated price, double what you pay in other centers. NOT RECOMMENDED
