We walked here from our hotel -- about a 10-minute walk -- and we arrived to find the place packed with reservations in waiting. They still managed to get us in! That's customer service! Fabio took care of us, along with another young lady whose name I did not catch. They were spectacular. I'm a Texas guy, and we eat beef for breakfast, lunch and dinner. I was impressed with the Steak Florentine here. It was tender and was mildly flavored with herbs and butter. The roasted potatoes were OK. The cannellini beans in tomato sauce almost stole the show. What a wonderful combination of meaty white beans and sweet tomato sauce! And the tiramisu was divine. This place was packed on our visit, and it is no surprise, because they are very good at what they do. Still, it was comfy, and we were well taken care of.

Nonetheless, getting a reservation within their allotted window was actually quite easy. As soon as we arrived, we KNEW the sunset would be unrivaled. It was the perfect Tuscan sunset. I'll start with the food: fantastic. We had the ragu, a beef filet, steak carpaccio, and marinated tomatoes. zero complaints - everything was perfectly simple and truly delicious. The service was next level: from the giant glass of digestif presented to my father-in-law for his birthday to the round of complimentary desserts and limoncello, the service was full of joy! As we left, our server was sharing some personal tales with us. He really bonded with my father-in-law and ended up gifting him a bottle of wine that had familial significance/connection between us! We were so grateful for this special experience and have the signed bottle sitting out still today. Keep in mind we are American Italian. And so European food is very different in general. You have to have an open mind that it is not going to be like what you're used to. I got the risotto With Chianti wine and it was truly delicious. Although the rice was a little bit al dente for me. The bread was amazing. The olive oil was absolutely top shelf. Made in Luca. They gave us these little pizza bites. That were also actually amazing. The sauce on the pizza bites were fantastic. I think the biggest thing was that I thought I had made a reservation for 8 o'clock. But apparently it was for the next night!! And they squeezed us in anyway! Then I forgot to take pictures as I always do because I'm too busy sticking my face in my food. So I only have pictures of the bread and the pizza bites lol. We got a very interesting dessert that was made in a meringue shell with tart cherries and chocolate and cream, and it was truly a delight. It was very small, but it was all you needed.
