BUYERS BEWARE. This…read morevendor lists items on its website that have been discontinued in an attempt to garner exorbitant shipping fees ($50 and up) during the holidays for expedited shipping. I received a phone call from the vendor 2 days after I had received a purchase confirmation from the ndi.com website that the item I had ordered for a gift had been discontinued. When I asked the VP of Sales and Marketing why the website still showed the product as available (after she had called to tell me it had been discontinued) she told me that the the website was not up to date. When I expressed my dissatisfaction about the website and the service, and stated that I would be relaying my concerns to the Better Business Bureau the VP sent me an e-mail stating that I would no longer be allowed to make online purchases from the website because I was "unreasonable." As a professional, I was shocked at this behavior. I wrote a letter to the Chairman Carol Gordy telling her that I had been informed that I could not make purchases simply because I had stated that I was dissatisfied with how a transaction had been handled. Ms. Gordy replied that the VP of Sales & Marketing was "competent" and did not need to take "crap" from "batty" customers. See e-mail below: "I daresay it is you who are out of line . You are not given license to scream and berate our employees making unreasonable demands because we are out of an item on our website. I am an online buyer. I have many times ordered an item that was out of stock or discontinued from an array of other companies and though disappointed I did not throw a tantrum and demean the sales staff. The 'subordinate' you refer to is a very nice, competent Vice President of Sales and Marketing. Her job is to direct the sales of this company which she does in extraordinary fashion, she is not obligated to take crap from batty customers. I am certain the BBB and the Federal Trade Commission will be amused with your letter and promptly throw it in the trash where it belongs. I will send them a copy of this letter along with yours." The shipping is outrageous. Sure, they have 25% off and I have bought about fifteen arrangements…read morethrough the years. The last one arrived unstrapped and damaged and did not look like the picture as this one had about eighteen more hydrangea leaves than the picture had. Then I cut on it and made it so-so. I decided to order again as I wanted an ivy topiary for my bathroom. The shipping was over $100 and so the arrangement was well over $400. At the bottom of the RECEIPT, I noticed that my item was to be left AT THE CURB! I wrote them. Yes, in a 400 house subdivision, they were going to leave my arrangement, not on my open front porch some 70 feet from the street with easy access, but by MY MAILBOX! So for an ADDITIONAL $50, they would arrange for the topiary to be left on my porch whereas ALL other NDI arrangements HAD BEEN LEFT ON MY PORCH. Extortion? WHAT A COMPANY! SUSAN, at NDI, you are awful in charge of sales. I have spent THOUSANDS AND THOUSANDS AND THOUSANDS at NDI only to be tricked like this! NEVER AGAIN, NDI. There ARE other companies with beautiful arrangements! This business relationship is ended on a very, very, very sour note. Do not buy from these people. It used to be a good company but as of September 6, 2019, I change my entire viewpoint of NDI. SORRY COMPANY and only wants orders from interior designers, not from everyday customers! They hate us! And as much as I will hate to get rid of the fifteen arrangements, I must, for to be reminded of SUSAN and NDI every time I look at them would be sheer TORTURE!!!!!!! Who wants to b e reminded of a terrible, terrible experience inside their own home! This shipping situation was MISRREPRESENTATION and HORRIBLE POLICIES. RUN!!!!!!!!

They sent a facebook message an hour before they were supposed to be at my house saying the product would be in tomorrow and rescheduled for the following week without consulting me. I cancelled it all. Two weeks later I found a box on my front porch claiming to be what I ordered? STILL waiting on a check for the difference. I'm sure they gave me the cheapest stuff on the market, but claim it is the most expense to keep from having to pay me back. They changed their facebook page to a different name (3 times) and taken the ability to leave comments off, due to my constant warning people. So, if they ask for a deposit, say no! Make them operate like honest businesses do.
