I enjoyed walking around and checking out all the buildings and learning about the history of the school and the very interesting traditions that the students keep alive . Wally Witt and streaking the hollow that's all I'll say about that. The surrounding houses are beautiful as well, I was impressed at the set up that they have for upper class men. The historical look of the houses as well are a look back at what middle America used to be, The student population seemed really friendly as well, all seemed welcome at different social events. There is an active Greek life, which is awesome if used in the right way, and apparently some secret societies? Last but not least the on campus bar was fun to swing by, and you can't beat the prices! I would send a kid to this school if I had one. Go tigers!

They are ok, but in my experience advisors and professors are not understanding when it comes to…read moreadults who are working while taking classes. You would think they have experience with it being a community, but I've even had an advisor DISCOURAGE me from taking classes, while the other attempts to over load me with me classes. I've taken one class a semester multiple times at my own pace because I work very long hours. If you only go to them to make a plan for the classes you need and don't talk to them after that you'll be fine. Talking to fellow working adults and part time students, of course.

My eye caught the marker in front of this fabulous brick building that could have been a church or…read morea city hall or a school. It turns out that it's a theological seminary and the marker in front points out the history. There is not much parking here but you can stop in the drive to read the marker. It reads, "Payne Theological Seminary was originally established as Union Seminary in West Jefferson, Ohio, by the Ohio Conference of the African Methodist Church (AME) on October 18, 1844. The Cincinnati Conference of the Methodist Episcopal Church North met to establish a school for people of African descent, and in 1856, purchased Tawawa Springs, a defunct health resort, to open Wilberforce University, named for the early nineteenth century British abolitionist, William Wilberforce. In 1862 the institution closed due to low enrollment and dwindling funds. AME Bishop Daniel Alexander Payne purchased the school for $10,000, and the school was reopened in 1863 by closing the Union Seminary and merging the assets. In 1895, the department of theology separated from Wilberforce University and became Payne Theological Seminary, named in honor of Bishop Payne. Payne is the oldest, free standing African American Seminary in the United States."
