It usually only costs a couple of bucks where I go to on smith st, but I didn't have the time to go there this time. So I tried Aurum a little jewellery place that I though would be friendly and affordable. I was wrong in both cases. I was met with a 'I can't be stuffed doing such a pathetic job' attitude, and was told it'll only take a second, so just wait on the side for a bit. After more than just a couple of seconds, it was obvious they didn't know what they were doing. So they asked me to come back in 15 minutes. I came back, they were done, and my watch was already in a plastic bag. They charged me $12, a total rip off. Especially considering when I finally had the time to take it out of the bag one day and just happened to look at the back, it was scratched to death. You could tell they had a difficult time removing the battery. Lucky I was getting another watch soon as that one was a cheap, just for now, watch. Still though, that shoddy work is totally unacceptable.

Browns aren't particularly modern - the setting isn't particularly sleek or sophisticated, it is quaint and modest. The attention is on the jewellery and the enormous precious stones that gleam out at you. Gold, silver, rubies, sapphires, emeralds, and diamonds - I've seen them all here. The wares are truly phenomenal. Browns also do watch repairs and stock other pieces - not just rings. They just happen to be the thing that catches my eye.

I reached out to Janai with a few questions, the person responding did not read any of my questions and just proceeded to assure me they were great, and had a wide range of designs. After spamming me for some time with useless info, not only did they answer none of the questions I had asked, but after leaving a review on Google for poor customer service and a lack of empathy, the store's director resorted to doxxing my personal information in the response to pressure me into removing my review. It is highly unprofessional and is considered harassment and bullying. I would say anyone else would be better. In consultation with their customers, Janai design their own rings and make them on premises. They're pretty snazzy-looking and they also educate potential customers about diamonds, regardless of whether they buy with Janai or not, just to make sure you don't get cubic zirconia instead of a prime cut. As you'd expect for the only company in Australia that designs and makes its own rings they're pretty pricey but not ridiculous. The staff are great and are obviously more than happy to show anyone through their wares.

I was so taken aback that I had to stop looking into the case. I have never seen such spectacular beauty. I have been in many jewelry stores and have never had such an experience. The quality of the gems, jewels, and metals are immediately apparent when you set your eyes on them. After a few minutes of looking around, we were greeted by another sales associate and she apologized for the short wait and said someone would be right with us. In a matter of a few minutes, Lynne introduced herself and inquired to what I might be interested in. I gave her a small list of qualities I wanted and off she set to locate the perfect item. After spending half an hour with Lynne and her immense knowledge of jewelry, metals, manufacturing, and the standards of Tiffany, I was given a glass of wonderful champagne to relax with while Lynn completed the paperwork and wrapped up our purchase.
