After a…read more$200+ premium hike, I discovered blatant contradictions in my records. ​The Facts: ​Data Inconsistency: The office claimed they used "third-party" data for my mileage, yet they didn't have my 2024 smog certificate info--which is public record. ​Conflicting Stories: Business Manager Alyssa Shivers claimed in a voicemail she HAD my 2025 reading, then sent an email stating, "We do not have that number." ​Unprofessionalism: When I tried to address the $200 error, Alyssa refused to provide corporate contact paths. Even now, I don't any place I can complain to except here on Yelp. The worst part was getting the long letter explaining why they won't insure me. I read it today and thought about this past year with Covid-19 Pandemic, community shut-downs, and the very recent loss of my mother. I looked again at what they said in their denial letter and I thought, what a horrible way they do business! I don't need anything they have to offer and I bet most people don't either. We were shopping around and have previously met with another life insurance agent. What they were trying to sell us was way out of our price range so we didn't end up getting any life insurance. As we were getting our car insurance quote through our friend, she asked if we were interested in getting life insurance. We told her about how we met with someone and they were trying to pressure us in getting something we couldn't afford. She told us about Fred and that she trusted him and will help us. We were skeptical but trusted our friend. We end up meeting with Fred one evening. He met with us for a couple of hours and it was already after hours. Because of our work schedule we couldn't meet during his regular business hours. So it was great that he made time to meet with us outside of his regular hours. He explained the whole life and term to us and wanted to help us to be able to afford life insurance that way if anything happened to my family, we would be covered. We did not feel pressured at all! He said he wasn't here to upsell so he can get paid more he really wanted to help people. I genuinely feel that that was true. He was very friendly and we ended up talking about our lives and it wasn't just business. We ended up signing up for life insurance to cover my family for our future. It was so affordable that we have had it for seven years now and will continue to keep it. Fred and his assistant have kept in contact with us yearly. We get really busy so it's hard to get back to him sometimes. He would reach out by phone, email and postcards. He wants to connect every year to make sure nothing has change and if we needed to make any adjustments to our policies. This year was different. He met with us through Zoom. He was still able to explain to us the changes and policies and gave us options on our insurance if we wanted to make any changes. He continued to keep in contact by email and phone. First off, when we arrived, we were a little lost. The security guard came out and kindly asked if we needed help. He directed us into the building and told us where to go.
