There is going to be a re-consideration of all the civic suites in Bury and I would love to see this space revamped. Just think of the potential. The most exciting thing that I can ever remember happening here is that when we first moved into the area, my mother, sister and I got to test pizzas and little snacks for some market research thing. Alas, never to be repeated. There's a few classes going on here like belly dancing. I can't think of anything I'd rather do less than have my stomach wobble in front of other people in the Longfield Suite. Time for a change, methinks.

She had permission to take me to VIP dance Friday night 31st August 2018. "Wow" it was fantastic, was greeted by organizer wife & husband,the dance music was the best, lovely friendly people.For me the whole venue, fantastic size of dance floor, amenities were perfect. The whole night and company was perfect. Desire to come again when my dancing ability has improved.

Crosby Comrades is.. ok…read more. It's a local event space hired for parties and community events and mediocre shows such as psychic nights. Personally I would not choose Comrades for a celebration of mine; it's old and dark and I just don't feel it reflects the imporatance of an occassion such as a wedding-the receptions of which are held here. The dance floor is small, the bar is small, and while there is ample seating, the whole place just feels claustrophobic and depressing. I think it's quite cheap to hire and is convenient for locals but.. it's nthing special

The grounds are stunning -- beautiful lawns and gardens to wander around in. The house itself is what you might expect an old house to be, with traditional oak panelling and warm hearths in winter. The facilities for conferences are great too, and the staff there certainly look after you. But probably the best feature is the food, which is out of this world -- we would certainly go there for Sunday lunch regularly if we lived more locally. The waiters fancy themselves as comedians to an extent, which adds to the general entertainment But all in all, Inglewood is a wonderful place: I cannot commend it highly enough.

Owned by the Eclectic Group (also own the Great John Street Hotel in Manchester as well as other establishements), memberships are in-expensive (around £10 p/m), for which you get the opportunity to work from or just relax in their wonderful facilities - and feel that little bit special. The staff are extremly attentive and Alisha the membership manager, takes time to get to know all her members and what you like/dislike about the facilities. Private booths and boardroom style rooms are available to hire for meetings or social gatherings and the venue can be hired as a whole for weddings and/or parties. The piece-de-resistance is a small cinema room (seating about 30 people) that from time to time shows films (family friendly ones in half term) and can again be hired out for a private function. The menu is varied and offers a selection of sandwiches, steaks, burgers and breakfast options. I've yet to try the afternoon tea - but I've seen it and it looks amazing. Members are invited to lots of free events from business breakfast networking to after-work cocktail masterclasses (and the cocktails are yummy!). Guests are entitled sign-in to non-members when visiting On the 7th (not sure how many per time) and non-members can attend all events for a small fee too. Access is via a reception opposite Costa Coffee, where you'll be sign-posted to a lift taking you to the seventh floor to the aptly named On the 7th. Only open Mon - Fri at present. Except for private events and functions. Well worth a visit to see what it's all about.

I just did it!…read more What a great concept, you pay 5p per minute for being here but everything is free including gourmet coffee (from Ancoats coffee roasters), food, juices (I'm currently quaffing some sort of fresh grapefruit juice). In fact a guy just walked around with a big barrel of tasty looking biscuits offering everyone some - is this utopia!?! The place is huge and had so much room to sit, move and just be lived in - the people it attracts all look to be in the same boat with their macbooks/creative mindset and within 5 mins I've got chatting to my neighbour in our plush leather chairs about how great it is that you don't feel under pressure to drink up and go like a standard coffee shop! Well the other day I changed that, and I have to say I was dead impressed with this place! The concept is fantastic, you pay for the time you spend there and in that time can eat and drink as much coffee and cake as you like. Some people think the concept is odd, and I can appreciate it's a little different, but look at it economically and you're practically stealing from them! I genuinely felt guilty when I paid about £2.80 for 45 minutes of time, in which I'd consumed 3 slices of cake and 2 coffees. Thats the norm for me though, not that I'm a greedy pig, just that if I'm sat working for an hour (anywhere) I'll need a couple of coffees and something to nibble on. And let me tell you this for free, it costs a damn sight more than £2.80 even if I'd make the cake myself at home! I do wonder how they cover expenses however I believe a lot of volunteer work is involved and if you do volunteer, you get free time in the place - wins all round!
