Anytime came out and fixed an issue we had with the dryer vent. Good price, great service. Will be using them again.

Wake Handyman Services - Mold behind the old shower.

    Wake Handyman Services

Wake Handyman Services is simply the best handyman I've ever hired. Our bathroom was falling apart…read moreand had more issues than I could fix. There was mold, corroded pipes, dry rotted walls, subfloor damage from leaks... We called Wake Handyman Services and arranged for a quote. They arrived on time, were very courteous, and obviously knowledgeable. Work started, and I was astounded at how much had to be done. Drywall came out, the old toilet was removed, the sink was gone, subfloor got ripped out. All work that I knew needed to be done, but I don't have the skill to do myself. New walls got installed, the ceiling was replaced, a new tub got put in. Not only did this work get done, but Jano would not rest until it was done right. I know a lot of handymen would have cut some corners to get the job done faster, but not Wake Handyman Services. Throughout all of this, Jano communicated every step of the way. He let us know what he was doing, why, he asked for our input before making design choices... I never had to question why something was happening or when it was going to get done. In the end, the bathroom we have now is simply beautiful. It is the nicest room in the house.

He is a very brilliant man in which he can figure out any type of job at hand. He really cares about people and it's his main goal to please his customers. He is a very hard worker and did a job for us in over 100 degree heat, he also had a very flexible schedule. I will recommend him to everyone. By the way he also has a college degree in mechanical and electrical engineering. Leslie and Bob

My wife and I recently contacted Jeremy Jefferson of The Hired Hand to come out and give us an…read moreestimate for upgrading the motors and impellors in two of our bathroom exhaust fans and install a new fan in our master bathroom. Jeremy and his helper showed up at the house on time and took a look at the job. He quoted me $125-150 for the two fans upstairs and $150-200 for the master bath downstairs. I gave Jeremy the go-ahead on the costs and he got started. I should have known things were off when I went upstairs to test the work they completed and noticed they had wired the light and fan together where they were previously separate switches. I asked Jeremy why he did that and he told me he ran into a bad switch in each bathroom. I have since tested the switches and they worked just fine before they came out and now as well (the first lie). Jeremy and his helper were by this time totally focused on the master bathroom fixture and while they did get it installed in the process they ripped the sheetrock under the light cover and knocked the putty off of a nearby screw. I asked that they fix the damage and he said yes he would do it as it was part of the job and they would take care of it (second lie). Jeremy then spent hours calling Tech support for the fan company as he was unable to read or interpret the wiring diagram and instructions. He spent hours doing this and told me he was going to have to bring back his electrician from a nearby college to help him with this if he wasn't able to figure it out. I then joined a meeting as I was working from home and he approached my wife and told her I had agreed to pay them for the work before it was completed and pay their hourly rate even though the work was not completed (third lie). This prompted her to write them a check for $345 as I wasn't available to be interrupted at the time. Jeremy did commit that he would be back to finish the work (fourth lie). Over the next few days, I sent multiple text messages and left multiple voicemails for Jeremy and he didn't respond. When he finally did get back to me on Jan 9th he said he would be back out with an electrician to finish the work (fifth lie). My wife ran into them the same day in the mall parking lot in Goldsboro and they assured her that they had attempted to reach me multiple times (sixth lie). Jeremy also told her once they got a commitment from the electrician they would be back out (seventh lie). Thus far they have not contacted me or shown up to complete the work. I have now started a process through my bank for funds recovery since the work was not completed.

We had to start the entire process over and wait another 4 days before a new contractor could go out. Maybe contractors these days are making all the money they can, but this is not the way businesses should operate.
