If I could give them a negative review I would. READ THIS!! ANYTIME FITNESS COMNPANY DOES NOT CARE ABOUT FEMALE EMPLOYEES! I started a job in December as a manager at Anytime Fitness Bandon owned here in Avon Park now I enjoyed my job. I liked my members I was getting the club built up. I was doing a lot of work. I was setting up events for my club I was building it up. I was meeting my goals. Now this is where things have gotten to the point where this company does not care about female employees and they continue to let a 40 year old man that is 6 foot intimidate women with his large stature as well as he likes to yell and scream at women and tell them it's their fault when things aren't going right for him. And that people are leaving because of us and that we shouldn't be there and that we don't do anything when all he does is sleep and doesn't do his job. He has not once met his goal since I've been there starting at the end of December. With the latest incident being Friday June 21st. It started with a verbal altercation. That he continued to escalate to the point of chasing me out of the building and trying to chase down my vehicle, and he continued to yell and scream at me while I was leaving to de-escalate the situation. I reached out to my higher-ups as this has happened multiple times before with him, and he has done it to another female employee, and all they did was relocate her to a different location and did not handle the situation at all. The pictures below have more info as they like to claim they didn't know about it, and I have text messages from other higher-ups that said they have know about it and did nothing and then this morning I woke up to find out I no longer had my job and they have not reached out to me once to let me know, and they still have kept him in the building. it shows they do not care about female employees nor their members. I would also like to state that I'm not the first victim that this has happened to in my room with this company. I'd also like to point out the discrimination and mistreatment of myself at this company during my pregnancy. I had higher-ups telling coworkers that during their pregnancy they were not missing work or they were going to the hospital on weekends to get IV drips. that after I lost my child, my boss told my coworker while at least she'll be here more and also told another higher up that she doesn't understand why I needed time off since when she had a miscarriage she was back at work the next day. She also told me I had to be back within less than two weeks when I was traveling home to Wisconsin to see my family after I lost my child because my club was opening back up. Beyond the stressful and hostile work environment there was physical stress on my body due to my location, being severely infested with black mold. Which I was never informed about and only found out when they close the club for "renovations". When they were actually having a hazmat team do ozone treatments. I believe all of these factors may have caused or lead up to my miscarriage. read more

I have been to several anytime fitness locations in Florida. This by far was one of the most clean, organized, and friendly staff I Have encountered. read more

Watch out with this gym specifically couldn't go to the gym because of COVID now I call to get back to get back at it and you guys hit me with I'm behind 2 months you'll try to charge my account but won't call to see if I'm ready to go to the gym I could have died from COVID and this gym would just keep charging my account even if I was a ghost that's unprofessional and no type of customer service thought this place was one of the last places with good customer service in Avon park guess I was wrong smh will be joining Planet Fitness hope this doesn't happen to anyone else read more

Deceptive and misleading sales practices are very common here and at other gyms. They turn around your motivation to get healthy and sell you packages of personal training. The contract is "iron clad". I was never given a copy of the contract, cancellation was never discussed. There is a 30 day notice to quit, because I signed up for a two day a week personal trainer it cost me $600 to cancel my contract! I am returning today to give my notice in writing because I do not trust my contract will be cancelled. I should have known better because I have been ripped off by three other gyms in my past. After an "assessment" Matt pulls out the ipad and package sheets and the dance begins! Cut through your "I'm getting healthy high", do not sign up for personal training!! After 30 days of showing up 3-4 times a week you can use multiple apps to organize your training. I made an expensive mistake. I will be going to another gym. read more

A 3-Star gym but LOVE, LOVE, LOVE the Zumba here!!! Other PROS: Clean, friendly staff, new. Great flooring in the exercise room. Best in town per our Ex-Zumba instructor Gina. You can work out ANYTIME!!! Cons: the thermostat or the air-conditioning in the exercise room does not work or not efficient. It's $40/month without a pool, unlike Golds where you can spend this and bring a friend ANYTIME for FREE. Not enough group classes, but they are trying to improve that. Wish they had more day time classes that is geared to 20- 30 something instead of 60-70 years olds:). No child care...Poop! read more

I've been a member of ATF Avon Park for over 2 years now and have no intentions of going anywhere else. I've been to other ATF locations across the state and this location is by far the cleanest, best equipped and most customer friendly of them all. New equipment, huge exercise room and a wide variety of classes. The owners are supportive and hands on. Monthly organized events such as boot-camp in the park, kickball, wiffle ball are free and open to the public. If you're looking to belong to a gym that strives to make you feel like part of their family rather than a number then this is the place for you. read more
