Rip off, when I tried canceling, they said I couldn't cancel without a doctor's note. instead they were charging me 2.00 bi weekly still for 6 months. They do have most things you need but customer service isn't all that great. They don't answer the phone. I'm a member and was traveling and stopped by at 9am on a Tuesday. Key fob was not working and tried calling number with no answer. I tried ringing doorbell and a "coach" opened the door and said she was just an employee and couldn't help me and that I looked like "trouble". This was very disheartening. I was very polite and was about to leave. A friend of mine from the area was walking up to the door as I was leaving and offered me to be his guest for the day since my key fob wasn't working. The "coach" stopped me at the door and wouldn't let me in and said he could enter but not me. Unprofessional and since have ended my membership. Prices are outrageous for how simplistic the gym is. Absolutely not worth the money. I've seen gyms that are 2 stories high with pool access and more, that costs only $35 a month. Over $50+ a month for what Anytime Fitness offers is pure insanity. read more

We were out looking for a fitness center to join and we're trying a couple of them to determine what would work best for our needs. This location happens to be the closest one to where we live and I know a lot of our neighbors go here. They do a lot of business and are available 24 hours for members. During the hours that they are mad you have to ring a bell to gain admittance if you don't have a membership yet. We had a short wait before someone answered the door and the gentleman was quite friendly and helpful even though he was just the cleaner. Once the manager was available he met with us and we had a very good discussion about our fitness needs and the types of things we were looking for. He allowed us to look around at what they had which was quite helpful. We covered pretty much everything in our conversation and he took our information so they could send messages and emails. If we had become members this would be very helpful. If you are local and looking for a good gym then this might be an excellent choice for you. They are definitely worth the time to check them out. read more

The owner was very friendly when I first inquired about signing up. But when be found out that I was under a fitness program from my work insurance, his entire attitude changed. After reporting him to the fitness program, he gave me a sob story that he had been stressed out recently because be was worried he'd lose both gyms due to COVID. I hardly go there unless I absolutely have to. He's rude, and has caller ID so he knows when you're calling. I once was talking to an employee in his office and he saw us on camera and immediately called the employee on his cell to basically "warn him." He wanted to charge me for a key fob, when any other location gives it to you for free! I went in with my neighbor once and I think he assumed he was my bf, so he was automatically rude to him as well when he asked a question. This is our home gym. We have been with the establishment since 2008 or so. They moved from a small space over at Cagan's to this one and it had lots more space to fill. Some of the machines now, are not in good order, and there seems to be a lot of people wanting to use THE recumbent bike. Yes, just one bike. My husband would like to use it daily, but many times someone else is using it. I'm sure they would like to use it daily too. It really should be for just the seniors to use. They have a difficult time getting on the other bikes. Young people get on there and watch videos or talk on their phones while they slowly peddle. There is an old treadmill at the end of the lineup that has had an OUT OF ORDER sign on it for at least six months. Can't we get rid of it and put another recumbent bike in that spot. The real gem here is the customer service between the customer service rep, Skye and the Gym Owner, Heather, you will always be treated with RESPECT and with TOP-TIER customer service. Skye reaches out if there are any issues. She is flexible and professional. Heather has more power and will pull strings and make sure the customer is happy, no matter what! I felt uncomfortable here late at night with the way the men in the gym (some of them wearing jeans ???) looked at me while I was trying to work out. I really only came a couple times, since I felt the same uncomfortable way each time. I came in to cancel my membership and they told it me it would cost $250 to cancel. What?! What a scam. They probably collect that money since they can't keep members otherwise. The setup is weird, it's way too small to feel like you have your own area, and there's no lockers and only 2 bathrooms. I will not be giving them anymore of my money. The girl who was in the office today told me I could contact the owner if I had a problem with the membership cancellation fee. This is my gym and I love this place. This is my place that I get away. Whether I go for a run on the treadmill or I grab a book and hit the elliptical it is the best stress reducing place for me. The people in the office are nice and helpful. I don't usually need them, but I notice that they are helpful to everyone that needs them. They also have tanning beds at the gym which is pretty cool. There is only one thing I wish for that could be better. I wish they had a bigger place so they could have Zumba classes. That would be fun for something different. There is a really nice bathroom with a nice shower. They have air freshners all over the places so it smells fresh and not like rubber or plastic from the machines. I also love that they are open 24/7. That is very helpful with people that have wacky schedules. read more

I've been to several AF gyms across the country and this is one of the nicer ones. I'm from out of town and one of the staff members greeted me. Typically doesn't happen with a new face at the gym. The gym was clean, the machines were well maintained, the work flow (machines, free weights) were laid out in a way that made my workout efficient and productive. I will also say, while here I witnessed a couple of the staff going around the gym sanitizing all the equipment. Disappointing that other reviewers had a bad experience but mine was great and I'll keep coming back here while on my vacation. read more

I'm really happy here. They have everything you need for an awesome workout. They go up to 120lb dumbbells, they keep upgrading their gym and improving the equipment. I really enjoy working out here while in the Disney area. I have a membership back home and my key works at all their locations. I travel for business and pleasure and this one is larger than most Anytime Fitness clubs I have visited. I am at Disney often with my family and it's a great one hour health getaway for myself. They advertise on their website online a free 7 day pass. Then when you go to try it out they request a $30 non refundable deposit. So then it's not free after all. Am and my wife had every intention to join. The girl at this location was very rude and acted like she could care less what we did. I just moved here from the north and was going to start working out here. I've been a member of anytime fitness for 6 years and lost 100lbs and even taught classes at my old gym so I was excited to do the same down here. When I called to inquire about some things their manager instead of saying wow I'm glad the gym helped you or anything positive she immediately told me my dues would change to their $37.99/month and a 24 month contract. I told her I paid $40 for 2 people with no contract and she told me well after 30 days of working out there I'd either accept their pricing or she would cancel my membership. So this gym doesn't care about your wellbeing, they don't care that you had success and love their brand, they don't care how long you've been loyal to their gym or even saying welcome to the area... they only care about how much you were paying and how much they'll change your rate to for using their gym! Greedy!!!!!! Do not work out here. Someone that truly cares about fitness and helping people doesn't immediately ask how much you're paying at your current anytime fitness and threaten to cancel you because you pay 'too little' in their eyes. I am an Anytime Fitness Member and a snowbird. My membership is from the Chicago area, but I have been to Anytime Fitness in other states. My opinion is that this location, in Clermont, Florida, is the absolute worst! As another reviewer remarked, I wish I could give it a zero. First of all, the staff and owner are rude and unprofessional. The fitness trainer I was assigned was wonderful, she tried her best when the owner was rude to her in front of members. There are some classes, I have only been to Zumba, which is overcrowded and hot. In fact, the whole place is always hot and smelly! At times when the general public was allowed to come in for Zumba on Fridays ($10 fee), the class area would become dangerously overcrowded. If the management even tried to be accommodating, there would be some loyalty but many member have joined a new gym in the area, 5 minutes away on 27. Although I maintain my Anytime membership I refuse to go to this location! Save your time and money, join the new place! read more

Whoever is claiming this gym to be "huge" is probably a native of N.Y.C and not familiar with square footage. This is by far anything but huge. There is ONE free weight bench press slash shrug slash squat rack with anything but secure locking safety bars. There is ONE assisted 3D squat rack that people also use to bench. There is a large supply of dumbbells but nothing for the "serious lifters" that was stated in a previous review. I have been to many Anytime Fitness locations and have seen some very large, unique setups. Even one with a full stocked Crossfit gym, which by itself, was about the size of this gym. This location is neither large or unique. The restrooms are usually cluttered with toilet tissue scattered around the floor. Garbage cans are emptied maybe every 2 days. Pubic hairs must be washed down the drain prior to showering or using the toilet. Most of the time, the male restroom toilet seat is splattered with urine and an un-flushed bowl. This location used to be the old community library so it's far from modern. Staff members are sneaky and like to watch their members' activity on security cameras. A few of the trainers have an air about them that expresses they really aren't training for anything other than a paycheck. The area isn't that great even though there's a timeshare right next door. Last week a member parked her car by the side wall, went in to workout and discovered a busted out window compliments of some hoodlum teen from the low rent apartments behind Publix. There's an alligator in the pond behind the gym that does climb up into the rear parking lot and can be seen laying near the dumpsters. I suggest looking under your vehicle at night to avoid a nasty bite. read more
