4 QUARTERS FITNESS is located on the main floor of the TREO apartments on West 25th street…read more If you enjoy high-intensity interval training (HIIT) workouts then 4 Quarters Fitness is for you. The classes are inspired by football drills so the name of the studio, 4 Quarters, comes from the 4 Quarters during a football game. The last section of class is the 4th quarter which is normally when all the hard work is already done. Also, the name of the studio spells out the type of class that you'll take (QTRS - Quarters). Q for quickness, T for tenacity, R for resilience, and S for strength. Every workout is a full body workout but some workouts may focus on legs or arms for part of the class. This is the new fitness concept by Junker Fitness LLC. The Cleveland location of Junker Fitness will be closing by January 2025 but they will still have their Florida location. The same fitness instructors from Junker Fitness are now coaching here at 4 Quarters with one additional new instructor, Cameron. I visited 4 Quarters Fitness during their opening week on Monday, 17 June 2024 when they had their grand opening celebration. Jackson Junker, the owner, came down from Florida with his wife and kids to participate in opening week. It was a special treat to take two classes with Jackson who is a former football player. I took my first class on Tuesday, 18 June which was the first official day for classes. I was the only one in the Tuesday, 6am Quickness class with owner Jackson and his wife Stephanie so I felt special since I essentially got a personal training session. My next class was on Wednesday evening, 19 June, and there were alot more people in class. It was a strength class which wasn't as hard for me as the full-on cardio class but it was still a tough workout. Jackson Junker is a phenomenal fitness trainer and I was so lucky to be trained by him. The next class that I took that week was the resilience class with instructor Christa on Saturday, 22 June at 9am. There were even more people in class compared to Wednesday which makes it more fun. Christa is a great fitness coach who is very motivational. The next class that I took was the following week, a 6am strength class on Wednesday, 26 June with instructor Curtis. With me and another guy in class, it was a nice and small group. Curtis is another great fitness instructor who provides great examples of stretches to do if your body is feeling tight. He gave me on really good stretch to loosen up my side leg muscles or the IT band. You may also use some of the apartment gym's tools to stretch with such as their foam roller. CLASS TYPES (45 minutes per class) Q for quickness - cardio T for tenacity - mixture of cardio and strength R for resilience - mixture of cardio and strength S for strength - power (weights and body weight exercises) So far, I've attended 3/4 class types and I still need to take a tenacity class. I love the strength and resillence classes the most while cardio is fun too. I recommend 4 Quarters Fitness because you are trained by the best fitness professionals in Cleveland and will be provided support and guidance throughout class. Each class is currently $20 a class. I took advantage of their opening rate of $89/month for unlimited classes (founding member). Their regular membership rate is $149/month. I can't wait to take my next HIIT workout soon. TIP: please drink lots of water and electrolytes. **** GOAL of 150 reviews in 2024 - 48/150 total reviews in 2024 - 698 total overall Yelp reviews - Reviewed on 29 June 2024

Going into the class I…read moredidn't know the difference from a chimichanga to this chaturanga, which is pretty intimidating. But Rachel was very nice and gave great instructions for a beginner. The class was challenging but not impossible with a lot of alternate posses for a non flexible, no balance, and out of shape person. Instead of what I thought would be gongs and elevator music in the background, I was serenely lured into a zen like state by the boss, u2, and other classics. I didn't levitate but I'm thinking maybe next time. If you are looking for a fun class, with an instructor truly looking to help people I recommend this class. I am not really sure how these classes are suppose to go but I had fun and can definitely feel it the next day.

I already spend 10 hours a day there, another 2 doesn't seem like much but it is. I explored my options and realized that I would like something between one on one training sessions and large group classes. I had a friend refer me over to Functional Fitness and I have been extremely please with it ever since day one (mind you I'm only a few weeks in). The classes I've taken range from small to medium sized, so it's still personal enough that Jermail or Justin are able to correct you if you are making a mistake and notice improvements. It's a great 45 minute workout and I would recommend it to anyone. If I could tell anyone looking into this gym one thing, it would be that when you go to drive and find it, it's in the back of the Warren Plaza, next to Anytime Fitness. There is a metal door with a magnet/sign on it. Hard to miss the first time you go.

I've been going to this small gym for quite some time now that I really thought I already reviewed…read moreit on Yelp but there is a time for everything so here is another review. Keeping this one short and sweet. LOCATION -- Junker Fitness gym is on the main floor of an apartment building so residents who live there have free access to use the gym equipment. It is located right off of the Cleveland Shoreway (freeway) across from Edgewater Park. The actual neighbourhood name is called Detroit-Shoreway, I think, but it is also close to the Gordon Square neighbourhood of Cleveland. CLASSES -- If you're not a resident of the apartment building and therefore don't have access to use the gym equipment, then like myself, you can pay to attend a structured class with a licensed personal trainer. They offer group exercise classes which include HITT and yoga classes ($15/person). The HITT or High Intensity Internal Training classes are my favourite with instructor Christa R. on Saturday mornings. I've also taken Curtis's class and he normally teaches on Wednesdays. I LOVE the HITT class on Saturdays because Christa is a great fitness trainer and the class is limited to a small size of about 10-12 people. The class is 45 mins long and involves using dumbbells (weights), battle ropes, sledge puller, rowing machine, jump ropes, boxing punch bag, etc. We also do alot of body weight exercises such as pushups and squats. Different exercises are done with each class every week. The HITT classes are offered all year-round on Wednesday evenings around 6:30pm and Saturday mornings at 8:15am. The yoga classes are offered when the weather gets warm because the classes are on their rooftop outside. I wish their HITT classes were offered more often throughout the week because that's how much I LOVE them. I highly recommend Junker Fitness if you want personal accountability on your fitness journey. The owner opened a new location in Florida over a year ago now. **** - 38/150 total reviews in 2022 - 516 total overall Yelp reviews - Reviewed on 2 April 2022

They are extremely helpful if you have questions or need anything adjusted on your machine. I love the music that is played in the class, it really helps when you are doing such an intense workout like this. The studio is always so clean and organized when you walk in. They will also verify your parking if you park in the Huntington Parking Garage, which is an added bonus! If not, there are meters downtown that you can park at. This allows you to really experience the class and get used to the machinery to see if you like it before making a commitment and signing up for a package. Classes are only 30 minutes and take place inside a darkened room with pumped up music and pumped up instructors. The machine is like this stair stepper/ladder climber and while I did not feel anything day of I certainly felt muscle soreness in my thighs for three days afterward (I take Orangetheory classes regularly, but this bonus Rise Nation class added a push to my body). You will definitely sweat in class regardless if you are going all out or doing a modified version of the moves. I would like to try them out again since it was a unique and fast workout, but I do have two negatives. I think my feet were strapped into the machine too tightly because they hurt the whole time. I had to keep taking them out and stepping down to rest. Interested in seeing if this happens again if I keep my straps loose. The other thing is that when I first was looking into this business I wasn't really seeing any pictures of people who were not young and fit (with hair and makeup done). Maybe I was looking in the wrong places, but this made me feel a little hesitant to come to a class since I am out of my twenties, extra juicy, and a legit red sweaty mess when I workout. But the woman I spoke to on the phone was personable and reassured me that all bodies and skill levels were welcome. In the class itself I saw some older folk and some fellow juicy persons like myself. I wish Rise Nation was a bit more inclusive with their marketing and showed different bodies getting their workout on, maybe some before and after pictures too? To me that is more inspiring, but to each their own. Overall I suggesting giving this workout class a try! You can park a couple blocks away for free street parking and get some added steps in at the same time.
