When I'm evaluating different gyms while on the road, there are three things I'm looking at: 1. Equipment. Does this gym have the variety of high-quality equipment I need to get a solid workout in (i.e., racks for compound movements, dumbbells, cables and machines for accessory movements, cardio equipment, etc.). 2. Cost. Sometimes, you get what you pay for, but at the same time, I'm not looking to break the bank. 3. Location. Sometimes I have a car when I'm traveling, sometimes I don't. When I don't, or when I'm sharing a car with my family, having a gym that's close by certainly makes things a lot easier. When it comes to this Crunch, the equipment varies and quality are exceptional (I even ran 3.75 miles on the treadmill after my workout, which I hate doing, but it was one of the smoother if not the smoothest treadmill runs I've ever had), the location is 15 minutes away from downtown El Paso (where I'm staying for the weekend) and best of all, it's $15 for a day pass. And as an added bonus, the atmosphere was great. The staff were all very welcoming and it was perfectly crowded to where you can feed off of everyone else's energy and intensity without getting stuck waiting for machines. Highly recommend this gym for anyone in the El Paso area. I'll be back (tomorrow actually).

They have a sauna, weight rooms, basketball court, and cardio rooms. The staff is courteous and attentive. I like the gym because it is close to the Soldiers and their dependents who live off post in the Northeast area. When you drive here, please follow the school area speed limits because several schools are nearby, and there are many MPs. I feel this is the best community housing to live off post, but foremost, because of the gym's size, this is a great place to bring your Soldiers for squad lead PT. The platoon level would be too much unless you bring the platoon to play basketball.

Unfortunately, throughout the entire month of April, our family was focused on medical testing and coordinating surgery with El Paso Children's Hospital for our 9-year-old daughter, making it difficult to provide advance notice. We respectfully explained our situation, including the financial strain caused by my needing to miss a full week of work to care for her during surgery and recovery.
