If I could rate this gym is would be no stars. The gym is very unorganized well having a very rude staff. Once you sign up you are obligated to pay for a whole year with no cancellation. The owner Bryan Wilson gloated about how he owned 5 businesses in Colorado and expressed that he didn't care that I wanted to cancel and said I'm forced to pay a whole year without any chance of cancellation. If I could give no stars, I would. Visiting from out of town for a couple days the week of 29 May 2023. Called ahead to see if they offer guest passes. A woman said if I stopped by between 10-4 I could get a guest pass. She did not say my workout would need to be done during these hours. About 15 minutes later, I arrive at the gym. They guy who answers the bell is immediately defensive when I asked about the guest pass. He told me I could workout only during 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Well it was already after 3 p.m. so not really time for me to get a workout in. He tells me they have rules and normally do not allow people from out of town to work out in the gym. Said they have been having problems with "people." I mentioned to him that I worked out an Anytime Fitness in Myrtle Beach while I was there a couple months ago - and they provided me with a key once I paid a deposit (which was returned to me when I returned the key). I offered him a $30 deposit for the key, which he could keep if I failed to return the key. He told me he would not give me a key if I gave him $100. He does not know me and I am not from town. I was speaking to him calmly, and he got all riled up. Wannabe tough guy, I guess. I told him to have a nice day and left. Bad attitude from this guy when he opened the door. I am a retired USMC Lt.Col. and am true to my word. I certainly understand about rules. Perhaps learn to treat people with respect gym guy. Maybe you are the reason the gym was EMPTY. Also, read a review from another potential customer of this Anytime Fitness and they had problems with the same guy treating them the same way. He needs to get some anger management classes and people skill classes before dealing with the public. I would recommend anyone looking for a gym in Grand Junction to go to Mesa Fitness Clifton. They know how to treat a customer!! read more

The owner, an amazingly happy brilliant former-Mr Colorado man, Eddie, introduced himself to me while I was on the treadmill and chatted with me about my travels. He said he always likes to introduce himself to faces he doesn't recognize, and went on to greet everyone else that was in the gym. That kind of personal touch is fantastic. Gym was clean and bigger than it looks from the outside. Wifi was super fast as well. Equipment was all very new with nice brown leather. One of the treadmills sounded a little like a dying cat, but otherwise everything was flawless. Restrooms are behind a wall of mirrors, adding an extra touch of privacy. Wish there was more of a studio for calisthenics and whatnot, but no complaints on the whole. Great Anytime! read more

Just not a ton of options in the gym. Only a handful of machines. Water fountain was broken also. There is only one rack here - and when I visited I had two guys not leave the one rack for at least an hour. They did multiple exercises, as well as, "super sets" except you couldn't really call it super sets because they would both leave the rack (weight still on it, water bottle on bench) to do their other exercise. Just no respect for anyone else. Probably says more about those people in the gym, but I don't know how that's allowed in such a small gym. read more

As a member of the actual gym everyone was kind and weren't the over the top muscle builders that you find at the other gyms in town. However the reason I would give this gym one star is because when trying to cancel our membership due to cost during a hard time for our family the gym owners refused to call me back or answer the phone during business hours. Once I figured out that I had to cancel my membership through a different business I had to call ABC financial services who then told me I had to write a letter giving them 30 days notice. During which time I would still have to pay the membership fee as well as a 50$ cancellation fee. When we originally signed up they had told us it was a one year contract and that we would have to renew once the time was up, but we were never asked if we wanted to renew and they have just continued to charge us. The customer service at this gym is definitely lacking. As well as the company that handles the billing who have absolutely no sympathy for struggling customers. read more

The owners of the gym are very rude and unprofessional. My partner and I go to the gym late in the day due to our work schedule. The gym is never staffed while we are there, and due to this we cannot pay the $5 fee for her to workout with me as she is not a member. The owners emailed me and said she needed to pay, which is not a problem , but failed to explain how to pay. They claimed to have also called me, but never left a message or tried to follow up even though I missed the call. Instead of reaching out in a calm and professional manner they ambushed my partner and I during our workout, yelled at me, and threatened to shut my key off. I believe they could have handled this like adults and simply talked to me during one of our normal workout times, but instead they watched their cameras from home, waited for my partner and I, and busted though the door and looked heated. I would not recommend this gym, they have barely any equipment, they expect members to clean the gym for them, they leave passive aggressive signage throughout the gym, and create an overall unsafe environment. read more

Thank you Eddie! I was in town for a class and called to see what it would cost to work out for a week. Eddie the owner of this gym allowed me to work out for free. He was very accommodating and had me set up with a key so I could work out when I wanted to. The gym is great, all equipment is well maintained and the bathrooms/showers are very clean. Next time I am in the area I will stop by for another workout. If I lived in the area this would be the gym I would join. read more

I'm glad this gym is here because it's hard to use hotel gyms when you are used to a specific free weight routine. This facility is clean while the patrons seem inviting and not overly "meat-head". Most of the equipment including machines and free weights one would need are there. As someone that's always enjoyed the use of a barbell I wish they'd have more squat racks/barbell benches. Other than that I'll be coming back here to keep my routine going when in Grand Junction. read more

my experience at this gym is fabulous. The owner Eddie was extremely friendly and responsive to my phone calls. He really seems to care about the people that go to his gym, and wants to help them, if they want to help themselves. There is no high-pressure selling. The fact that there isn't a full-time staff allows him to maintain an excellent level of equipment. Everything down to the bathrooms is superb and in great shape. It's very close to where I work out in Orchard Mesa, so it's a Streamley convenient for me. The other members pretty much keep to themselves, and there is into any yelling or grunting or anything like that. It's just extremely pleasant on the way to relax during the day. read more

I received good treatment while a member at this Anytime Fitness club. The owner was nice and the rest of the staff was considerate to my needs when I was there. The reason that this rating is at a 1/5 is due to the billing issues I had when canceling the account. I signed up for a 9 month contract however they continued to bill be after the contract had expired. I explained this to both the owner over the phone as well as the ABC financial services who manages Anytime Fitness's accounts the issue, however neither was helpful in resolving the matter. This issue was then sent to collections, and the collections agency used, Internal Credit Systems Inc. was rude, unprofessional, and downright mean when I got ahold of them. Do to the lack of customer support dealing with contracts and billing for this club I would not recommend that anyone attend. It is not worth the nightmare trying to cancel your membership and this may be dragged out for 4 months (mine was). read more
